The Sims 3 Has Been Leaked!

https://www.gamepolitics.com/2009/05/18/sims-3-leaked, someone has leaked the sims 3 on the internet and can be downloaded off some torrent websites.

I enjoyed sims 1, but I randomly stopped playing it one day, and never got 2.

So I think I might check this out.

Downloaded and installed. It’s on megaupload too if you like direct download, but you’ll have to find those links yourself.

That bugs me.

I won’t download this for the pure reason that 1 leaked spy video is enough for me, but can i ask anyone that has downloaded it - is it any good?

I’m about to load it up right now.

Sims 2 with 12 more polygons

I’m gonna wait for the actual real release.

Played it, and it’s definitely better then the sims 2. The fact that you can travel anywhere without having to go through a loading screen is fantastic. In about an hour and a half I made a family, got them both jobs, and made the wife have an affair with another woman, then have the husband walk in on them woo-hoo-ing.
The way the sims interact with objects and other people are different, and there are a ton of things you can do in the game, and they made a lot more of the systems more realistic, like being paid per hour as opposed to a certain amount in a day. It seems more ‘realistic’.

A step up from the sims 2, but sandbox games have never been my thing, so I probably won’t get to into it.

It looks better then the sims 2, not a huge amount though, so I wouldn’t upgrade purely for the graphics.

Want any more info on it before you go download a 5 gb game that might not actually be worth it?

Is the “Sim humor” still present?

I don’t like Sims. My sister had all of the Sims 2 games installed and it took up like ten gigs of space.

The Sims is a great conept, but it’s been kinda smothered by the insane amount of idiotic ideas for expansions.
.

Yeah, leaks are never as good as the actual game, plus the hard-working developers don’t get paid if you only get the leak.
Leaks are never as good as the final game, look at the HL2 leak, it was completely different from the final game!

God, I hate the Sims. I knew this one girl, she kept showing me all these lame Sims 2 videos. One was about a house on fire and people trapped on top of it. She thought it was hilarious!
I think I’ll stick with taking out the garbage and doing my job in REAL life.

Very nice.

Yeah, Sims gets pretty ridiculous after awhile. Telling someone to go take out the trash, feed the kids, and take a piss is simply just not much more fun than it is in reality.

This was leaked about 15 days before the official release. This is a final version that was probably sent off to be distributed, but somebody got a copy along the way.

They have the occasional easter egg, like funny item descriptions and such, if that’s what you’re asking.

That’s the neat thing about TS3, they are a lot more self reliant. They have fewer needs to fulfill (like environment, what a bullshit need), which makes it easier on both ends. They aim to make it that you can leave them for a full real life day, and they can live their lives.
It’s nice, because you tell them to do stuff, so you get the satisfaction of controlling them without micro managing.

Well, if you can let 'em on their own for a day, I suppose that’s a major improvement in itself
Yeah, I might check out the leak.

One real shortcoming in Sims 2 was that if a child made a friend when he was young, as he grew up the friend would stay young (if he lived in another house that is). Made for interesting situations such as an 80 year old man having a 13 year old as a best friend lol. Has this been fixed in Sims 3?

The problem with this is that you don’t want a family to live their life while you’re not controlling them. It’d be super hard to fix. I haven’t gotten one of my sims to age yet, so we’ll see.

I don’t see why you wouldn’t want another family to live their lives whilst you control your own family. It’s more natural, more realistic isn’t it?

Because controlling them is the fun part of the game.

edit
Turns out I was wrong, I think they all age at the same time, but switching between families is much easier now.
