I broke my razer abyssus mouse, and now I have to use some of the money I was going to use for a laptop to buy a new gaming mouse… fuck.
Just use a regular mouse, like most people 
I have a cheapy one that works just fine, although I do tend to wear the wheel way faster than I should.
I’ve had this cheapo GE mouse I’ve been using for about 4 years now. Still going strong.

Why don’t you just open the mouse and solder a new cable? I do it all the time to my peripherals and headphones so I never have to buy more than a cable for 0.99$.

No no, not as much as the laptop, I’m just a poorfuck who has to save money for a long time before I can buy anything. Buying the mouse set me back quite a bit, but not a lot, thank goodness.

Never seen one that expensive. Most average Razors cost around $150 USD for the top quality ones.
The cable may not be the only thing wrong with it fyi… Some of those components inside of the mouse and other peripherals have microsolders smaller than you can possibly make by yourself. I tried to repair my last set of headphones, and monitor (when it fried) and gave up for that reason. That and the monitor needed specialized parts which would be just as expensive to get as it would be to buy a new monitor.

a cheapass MS mouse or whatever is perfectly fine for gaming, really

The reason they’re so expensive is that they have precision lasers and software to use with the hardware. It’s not your average mouse.

Depends on the precision of the laser you want. You got any idea how much those LEDs cost?
Some people want that precision in gaming so they can pick you off from across the map using a sniper rifle for instance. I know this because I play with quite a few of them and I have a shitty 3 year old mouse and can barely keep up.
I used to, too. I didn’t have that much trouble keeping up with my mx518. In as far as I did, it was mostly because I wasn’t quite as good as them.
