The Rage Topic

Good god, it’s only 7:20, how hard can it be for me to open a package of poptarts?

for the first time in months i feel like i dont have anything to rage about

yay

gmod13 is making me rage, I love the custom background system for it (same as windows 7 sort of), only problem is you can’t remove the defaults I hate the defaults… I want my backgrounds not the defaults.

I wish my dadda played computer games ;/

At least he isnt bugging you about how to copy paste something. Or asking why aol hasnt been cool since 1993.

I had to update my dads security system once… that man looked at to much porn never seen so many viruses on a computer sense my windows xp computer. (thing was kept running by a virus)

How? A computer virus is pretty much malicious by definition, or at the very least not benevolent.

This gives me so much insight into the whole “furry” thing.

If it’s insight you want, you could just ask a furry.

My dad doesn’t even use computers. Heck, new layouts for his local ATM makes him apprehensive.

I actually have a theory on why furries are so prevalent as a fetish on the internet.

Do share.

why does every one hate furries? its not like we push it on other people… bronys do not count as furries.

Nobody has actually said anything distinctly negative yet.

sorry I am a pessimist and see negative where there isn’t some times.

Alright so my experience of furry images is limited to avatars and sprays from games but what I gather is this. Furries on the internet are common for two reasons.

One unlike a lot of communities on the internet furry groups (servers I’ve been on and such) tend to be accepting and nice, look at the types of people you see who say they are furries and this would be viable belief as to why they may become a furry.

Two is that furry imagery is mostly idealized modern western beauty but with anthropomorphic additions. I think that after awhile of seeing attractive women/men but with ears one might start to think its the ears that attract them. Unlike other fetishes like foot fetishes for instance there aren’t many ugly examples to be off putting. The images also aren’t realistic, they are typically stylized and simplified I think this allows for the mind to not immediately reject the image as ugly because it doesn’t really look like an animal to it.

This is based on my observations that, furries don’t tend to start furry before internet use. And most furries only become furries after meeting other furry friends. I don’t think most furries are actual furries. I think its just a combination of social reasons and confusion in most cases.

That’s a pretty interesting theory. The thing is, as I understand, there’s really no such thing as a “furry fetish”. That is, there’s nothing about the simple anthropomorphism that turns people on.

If there were, I’d expect a lot more furry porn than plain furry art, among other things.

If it turns you on and isn’t just a body part its a fetish.

Even then. Feet are body parts, but they’re still a fetish (that I just cannot understand).

There’s actually been a lot of research done on that topic.

In short, it’s somewhat ambiguous.

Edit: I just noticed this:

:fffuuu:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
