Fair enough, my point still stands.
My friends from high school seem to have collectively decided to excommunicate me for reasons beyond my understanding without having so much as the basic decency as to remove me from their Facebook friend lists.
So I can’t be part of their lives anymore, but they’re still in plain view. Taunting me. Though at least…

Make new ones? I can understand being socially awkward. I was like that, still am in some circumstances. I don’t let my true colors show until I trust someone completely for instance. 'Corse this is exempt on the internet when nearly everyone has anonymity.
It doesn’t mean you can’t meet new people and make more friends. If they don’t like you, fuck 'em. They’re not true friends in the sense of the word if they don’t want you in their lives or even give you a chance to reconcile.
I have made new friends in the year since I left my hometown to go to uni, but still… These are people who made a big difference in my life over the past few years - people I cared deeply about. And I thought they felt the same way.
I don’t need them in my life if they’re going to be like that, but that doesn’t mean not having them there anymore doesn’t sting.
