It seems like I am the only person around here who actually likes Windows 8. The speed improvements alone do it for me. That being said, Windows 9 should provide some pretty big improvements.

Global Offensive is excruciatingly anti-mod. Something as simple as a modern-styled reanimation package that kept the default models (and thus, all new weapon finishes) would never be let into the public matchmaking games my friends inhabit.
NORMALLY this wouldn’t be an issue because I’m used to the classic method of source game multi-player where you find 3 or 4 servers you really like that suit your tastes. I managed to get most of my irl friends into pc games but there’s little that can be done to shed one’s appreciation for speedy, hassle-free server connections offered by Valve.
It’s just very strange to me that now every valve game needs effort and workarounds to mod when it was once a very fun and easy process
hopefully source 2 will bring those times back once again, that time when getting into modding was about as hard as getting the single player campaign to run smooth on your hardware
