The Rage Topic

That sucks :frowning:

I’ve been there. The only way to learn that backups are vital is to get metaphorically ass-fucked by data corruption. (Hint: Get yourself a Dropbox account).

I rage a lot here O.o;;

Always keep backups on hand for this exact reason, bro. I have backups on each of my drives for mods I have… and have a second computer incase those fail.

Sorry you couldn’t recover your materials.

The sad part is those were the backups. I’ve backed up my maps many times, but the maps themselves have problems due to SteamPipe. I haven’t checked my desktop yet, I might have copied the .vmfs there, so I’ll do that when I’m not breaking my back next door raking rocks.

I lost my entire Portal mod when I built my new computer a couple years back. I think it happens to all of us.

Yeh. I’ve done it too. NWN2 mod poofed due to my own misguided fuck up. Same thing goes for my Diablo II mod that I put A LOT of time into.

Oh good, another DDOS attack on the Steam servers.

What is even the point? It only last for a few minutes and accomplishes nothing.

Fucking retard shitheads weren’t beaten hard enough by their parents. Or not at all.

I hope these homos get raped when they go to prison, after they DDOS attack massacre is over.

Edited: Sorry everyone else on this thread who read this. But still it’s bullshit.

hoW THE FUCK DOES STEAM TAKE EIGHT HOURS TO DOWNLOAD 400 FUCKING MEGABYTES
HOW

Read the above two statements and you’ll get your answer. It’s either that, or you have a very shitty internet connection.

It takes time to load, transport, and unload the 5MB storage modules you’re requesting.

Give them a break, they’re trying as hard as they can.

It’s really shitty, but it’s never been this bad before. It usually takes half that time, at most.

“That’s cute.”

WHY THE FUCK DOES MY KNEE HURT AGAIN!!! It was just getting better from when I hurt it in September, I was thinking about going to kung fu class for the first time in three months, and now my knee hurts AGAIN!!! Mother fucking fucker mother fuck piece of shit knee MOTHER FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!

Why is my body so much older than it is supposed to be… :frowning:

Wow, I feel like I have it easy now.
All I had was weeks of trying to plan a get-together with some old friends, coping with shitty internet connectivity all the while, with barely any input, and then having a single person actually able to make it.
And I’m leaving town today for uni, so that was the last chance I had to see anybody.

That’s got nothing on knee injuries or losing 5 years of work… Condolences on that. :frowning:

@TGP how’d you manage to hurt your knee again?

It’s fucking cold where I live…

Beyond that, had a dream about a female friend of mine I used to be close with, it’s been 2-3 years since I’ve last seen her, wonder how she’s doing.

I don’t even know. It felt fine after shoveling snow yesterday morning. But in the evening it felt off, and then I wake up this morning in pain.

Apparently I did NOT lose five years of work after all. There were backups of the backups on my external hard drive that I didn’t find the first time I looked. whew

ARE YOU FUCKING SHITTING ME?

YOU FUCKING THREW A GODDAMN FIT OVER ABSOLUTELY NOTHING?

WHY ARE YOU EVEN TRYING ANYMORE?

THIS IS BEYOND COMPLETELY INSANE. GODDAMN IT ALL TO FUCKING HELL WHY ARE YOU SO STUPID???

This is going to become a BM meme now, isn’t it?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
