The "OMG this game is on sale is it worth X bucks" Thread

That too.

Where are you guys seeing the reason for the sale? I’d love to have a look.

It comes up on the main steam page when you load it, on the right, where it tends to display deals.

Also, the whole ARMA collection (ARMA, ARMA 2 and all the expansions and DLC for both games) for 25€

The REAL succesor to Operation Flashpoint.

PS: If you are a trigger happy COD/BF/CS and know nothing else player (nothing wrong with that), you most likely won´t enjoy this.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is on sale for $4.99. I think I know what the overwhelming opinion is going to be here.

EDIT: Also, there’s a GOTY Deluxe edition which includes 9 DLC.

Get it bscly.

Done. lol, not sure why I even asked; I hear enough great stuff about it…

Ive played it to completion before, but never got round to playing the expansions and dlc, so bought it for a rainy day lol

also…

It´s actually more like 50 by now but ugh, nowhere near even half the game geez

It’s worth it to re-buy for PC if I have it for PS3, right? Since it’s mod-able?

Fuck it, it’s only six bucks.

SimCity 4 + Rush Hour expansion on steam´s daily deal for another 18 hours for 2.50€ I´d recommend it to anyone, it´s a lot of fun, specially at that price

Ohohohoho, STEAM AUTUMN SALE. Wallets out…

If anyone for some reason doesn’t have Portal 2 or Mass Effect 1/2, grab them today while they’re on sale. They’re fantastic.

I’m eying the Sam & Max complete pack myself. Anyone have an opinion?

There’s a lot of uninitialized things :stuck_out_tongue: .

I’m thinking of the Arma Pack and the Oddboxx.

Edit: I like the idea of playing Arma, but I don’t think I’d actually enjoy playing it… so Oddboxx, which is only like $3 anyway :stuck_out_tongue: .

I am also considering the Oddbox. How do Munch and Stranger run on the PC? I’m assuming they spent their time with the ports, since they haven’t come out with a new game in so long? And how do both of the Abe games run on Win 7?

I have the Abe’s Exoddus and Abe’s Odyssee for PC somewhere in the myriad of old CDs and DVDs lying around. I remember getting it from my uncle when I was 7-9. Never liked it because it felt like it had a delay before jumps and you had reclimb certain ladders atleast ten times before you managed to jump over certain gaps.

It may have been improved by patches since then.
(It may have been the computer that sucked too).

holy crap just spent 80€ in a ton of games, thats my next few months sorted lol

I’ve never played the Abe games but I ADORED Strangers Wrath when I first played it. And the other games are celebrated a lot.

Just realised something, not sure if it´s a steam mistake or not but, when you are looking through the developers games (i.e. at the bottom click on any of the brands to see their games) only the individual games appear, what it doesnt tell you is that the “developers pack” or “full catalogue packs” are also on the sale, mistake or not, to get to these, go in to a developer, click on a random game, scroll down and if its included in the pack, the pack will show, for example, 1C (men of war games, etc), complete pack is 100€ but autumm 50% off sale puts it at 50€, just an example but in case you guys want x ammount of games from a single developer, might save you a few bucks : )

couldnt resist the Unreal pack, all 3 unreal tournaments + unreal gold and unreal II for 10€ and the X pack (X, X2 and X3 plus expansions), aaaagh stop spending money! I will be hungry for the rest of the month but not bored thats for sure

I just got the Oddbox, for less than $4, if I like even one of the games, it’s worth it :stuck_out_tongue:

And a new sale is coming at christmas.

Steam sales is one of the reasons I’m almost always broke, that and computer hardware.
