If you guys have not taken a look at the top 10 mods on ModDB yet, there is a mod called School Shooter : North Amercian Tour yada yada… Now im not complaining about the mod because of the whole, yeah teach kids its cool to shoot up a school, no people who do that are just mentally fucked and use games as an excuse. The whole idea these 2 morons have is just whats, plain stupid. They are adding into the game actual guns that were used in infamous school shootings, and thinking thats cool. Its disturbing, think about it, these were guns used by mentally fucked up people that have killed innocent students, and these guys are using it as entertainment. I know this mod will be taken down soon, but these guys, whether its a troll mod or not, are fucking stupid. Take a look for yourselves.

Yeah, cause its funny… im already making an ass of myself making this thread about a mod thats there for just this reason, but MY point is, its not funny, not even a little bit. I have nothing personal either, I have never knew anyone who has been even at a school where there has been a shooting, I was at a school where a kid got stabbed, but not a shooting.

I don’t know if it’s my Danish humor or if I’m just an asshole, but I think this is funny. Even the name has me laughing. And people who say this is wrong are hypocrites, unless they only play games like Peggle or Mario. Yeah, I probably wouldn’t say all this I was a friend, parent or relative to someone who died in a school shooting, I get that.

Despite all this, it really looks like it sucks game-wise.

Why are we hypocrits? Can you explain to me why that is? No, hypocrits are people who whined about the Grand Theft Auto games and MW2’s airport level. And what exactly about the name is funny? I cant even say that everyone who thinks this is funny is brainless, no, because its human, some humans find rocks funny.

I take it you often play games where you shoot people. A GTA game perhaps. Or perhaps a game set in a real war. How is that any different from this mod?

And I can’t explain why I think the name is funny, probably because it makes it sound like a concert, which isn’t as funny when I write it like that. You can’t explain humor :meh:

Well, All those FPSs based in war usually have the people you shoot shooting back. You’re in an environment where everyone wants you dead, and have the means of making it possible.

That’s true, but I meant more in the way that it is demeaning for those who died and fought in the war and the like, just like this demeaning for those who died in school shooting, yet nobody complains about the former.

I call shenanigans on this. I would never have even heard about this mod if it hadn’t been for you bringing it up for how horrible it is. Then you wonder why they’re making something so horrible? If you’re for real, which I doubt, then get a clue.

Wow how edgy and original of them, oh wait, this has been done a million times already a decade ago, from “Super Columbine RPG” to the successful “Postal” series which even spawned a Hollywood film adaptation directed by Uwe Bole.

School shootings are a virus spawned from our twisted, diseased culture. Postal-style professional rampages are fallout from Reagan’s Great Victory against workers in the class war - basically blue-collar terrorism.

i just read a comment that was posted an hour ago…

he does have a point, you could really use this to show what the kids go thru to make them snap, and feel that this is the only way to finish it. stop violence with extreme violence.

also, i’d like to point out. you can’t go on and say this mod is horrible, it’s killing innocent people! then go and play GTA, you have the opportunity to kill innocent people. judging from the screen shot, they didn’t model teenagers. they used the civilian models from HL2. Rename the mod and people will stop complaining.
