The Last Film You Saw.

It’s strange to me that such an aficionado of Kevin Costner’s career (that sentence makes me want to puke… who would consider the majority of his work good?) wouldn’t realize that he’s done, like, six baseball films. For the Love of the Game is the only one that isn’t worth watching.

Robin Hood and Waterworld are two of the worst films ever made. Dances with Wolves was decent but I find it funny that a movie with the intentions of showcasing “a great people” instead villainizes them and focuses on two white people.

All of this Costner bashing makes me feel good on the inside.

Watched Snatch all the way through for the first time. I had seen parts of it before but never the whole thing. Really good movie. It gave me a sort of Tarantino vibe. I think my favorite parts were the first part at the pikey camp and then the whole part at the bar with the guy with the Desert Eagle towards the end.

Saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol at the IMAX tonight. Worth every penny IMO. I loved it, was everything I expected and more. Extraordinarily ridiculous stunts, great actors, a few humorous bits, Tom Cruise running…I give it 9/10.

Batman Begins (9/10)

Not absolutely perfect, cause the beginning of Batman is pretty hard to show without being a bit boring. Still, one of the best Batman adaptions so far.

The Dark Knight (10/10)

One of the best comic adaptions and movies ever. Awesome soundtrack and I like how the movies by Christopher Nolan tend to be more realistic than just being a comic adaption.

Now im waiting for The Dark Knight Rises. I’ve heard that the first trailer will be released this week.

Saw Hugo last week. Let me put this simply SEE HUGO.

The 3d was great, the plot was good, and the cinematography was beautiful.

I saw the 2009 version of Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law last night as I was invited to go see the sequel later this week. Figured it was a good time to catch up. It was an excellent adaptation of the franchise. Though I haven’t read too many of the books, I never imagined Holmes to either be skilled in martial arts, or as reclusive as he was portrayed in the movie. A fun ride nonetheless.

IIRC Sherlock never got involved in fights in the books.

Haven’t read any of the stories and Wikipedia doesn’t mention him using his skills at fighting very often.

Zoinks.

Jinkies.

Plus the movie wasn’t directed by an American .>.

Saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie. Surprisingly enough I liked it a lot, considering I didn’t really care for the first one (well, aside from Downey’s flubberty-druthers). This one is fast paced, it’s got lots of action and fights, lots of twists and turns and deduction, a really cool slow motion sequence, Stephen Fry naked…what’s not to like? I’d definitely recommend it.

Did someone say Sherlock Holmes?

I finally watched “Hard Boiled” the other day. Kickass movie.

Finally saw the expendables.

Pretty dull movie until half way through, at which point we began playing the Tropico 3 soundtrack. Then is was great.

Watched “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” yesterday. Kickass movie on the whole- turn your brain off and you’ll have a blast.

Same here. I actually saw the first one with the intention of seeing the second. Both very good movies.

And of course; Steve Fry. Naked.

Just got back from the Adventures of Tintin. I intended to see another movie (Happy Feet 2) but it was not at the theaters and Tintin was the only one I had even a passing interest in seeing.

Dragged in parts and but the action scenes were sufficiently over the top. It’s a bit hard to pull out of that uncanny valley but I think it’s getting back from the trough. The story, in my opinion, was a bit muddled and they didn’t explain some things too well, but enh, it was enjoyable. It was hard to like Captain Haddock; he got annoying after a while.

So, yeah. That was the last film of this year for me.

Next year, Men in Black 3 and The Hobbit…

Tin Tin imax 3d.

The only right way to watch it.

Watched True Romance one of my all time favorite movies, it’s just a well-done film. Plus Gary Oldman’s character is amazing and shows his skill as an actor off.

Then I watched Memento. Another favorite and probably the best of Nolan’s films. A lot of people say its confusing plot-wise but you can pretty much figure out what is going on during the second viewing.
