The Last Film You Saw.

Sheesh, man, I was wincing through the first half of that movie and unsure of when to grin throughout the second half. I lost track of how many murders I witnessed.

When a blowjob at the threat of death and mutilation starts to seem like something a secondary character should be able to shrug off, then you know it’s time to suggestions of what to see coming from people on the internet! :fffuuu:

So I got dragged to seeing Ted today. It was better than I was expecting, and there were quite a few genuinely funny parts, but overall the movie didn’t do it for me. It reeks of Seth McFarlane, it really does, which put me off a bit. I in general don’t like comedies all that much though so it could just be me.

It’s not just you. Seth McFarlane is the scum of the earth.

I saw the new Spider-Man tonight. I still don’t think it needed to happen, but it was good nevertheless.

Also, yes.

but who’s scummier?

idk, he has moments. very short moments.

I saw Brave yesterday.

Cute movie and it went in an entirely different direction than the trailers would have me believe. I think my biggest gripe would have to be [COLOR=‘Black’]that I wanted to see the witch/woodcarver return at or near the end of the film. She wouldn’t have had to interact with the characters; she could’ve looked upon them from afar, but it would’ve been nice to see that character’s story wrapped up a bit more than it was in the movie. Still, I liked the movie and I think I’ll be buying it once it comes out on DVD/Blu Ray/Whatever-Other-Device-is-Out-by-Then. Also, after there’s a quick scene after the end credits that is quite humorous.

I am so bad at anticipating when there’s gonna be a post credit scene. It seems like (almost) every movie I stay through the entire credits, there’s no scene, but the ones I duck out early from, I missed something.

Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels

Brutal, but fun. I was thinking back along Guy Richie’s movies, and it seems like they get less and less brutal with each release.

Garden State.

Beautiful movie. Easily one of the best I have ever seen.

Last film I saw at home: Back to the Future Part III

10/10

Best film out of the trilogy and a generally funny family film, a classic in every respect.

Last Film I saw in a Cinema: Amazing Spiderman

8/10

Good film, had some flaws but 20x better than the Maguire trilogy and plus the fact that I’m a massive spiderman fanboy and all of the subtle nods to the ultimate comics and some of the other series was…amazing.

I recently watched all of Quentin Tarantino’s films in anticipation of Django Unchained. Some good fucking movies.

I just saw Madagascar 3. Yeah, shut up. I actually liked it. A lot. It was the best Madagascar movie of the three, in my opinion. The villain was great. The story was great. The visuals were stunning. I can’t find a thing wrong with the movie. Yeah, it’s over the top and, at many times, physics go out the window, but this is a cartoon so I can forgive it. I also liked [COLOR=‘Black’]that they played with the idea of Gia being Alex’s love interest, but it actually didn’t go that way. Refreshing.

4/4. Yeah, it was that good. Oh, and
Da-da-dada-dada circus!
Da-da-dada-dada afro circus afro circus afro
Polka dot, polka dot, polka dot afro!

Play It Again, Sam (1972)

So genuine… humanity needs more movies like it. And I think I slapped my knee a couple of times while holding down the laughter.

There was actually a mistake when I went to see Ted and Madagascar 3 started playing. It played for maybe 10 minutes before it was fixed and I would have rather watched it. Those 10 minutes were hilarious.

The Time Machine (2002) and Iron Sky.

Really fun movie, The Time Machine, … but the protagonist killed the most interesting character without enough exposition!

And OMFG I LOVED IRON SKY!!! I died laughing approximately five times. Seeing Udo Kier in a major role was right down my Red-Alert-loving alley (and did you know he’s in Ace Ventura Pet Detective?) and the shot-for-shot parody of you-know-what was unbelievably awesome (you could tell as it started that it was coming).
And holy fucking shit, the soundtrack and theme supporting the line “Ve are dzhoyning ze battle” made me ROCL (roll on couch laughing).

Saw the midnight premiere of Dark Knight Rises at the IMAX tonight. It’s absolutely brilliant, a masterpeice of film-making, and a satisfying conclusion to the Nolan trilogy. Not to mention Anne Hathaway… dat asssss… :jizz:
