The Last Film You Saw.

^ that

Inception was decent, but not the “best movie ever”.

I plan on watching it in 10 years so I can look back to say “I can’t believe my generation gobbled that shit up so readily.”

I thought it was awesome.

I think more than a few of us have established that your thoughts are invalid

In any case, I will agree it was not the movie of the decade, but it was up there.

By “up there” you mean right next to Transformers?

Anyway, we all know this is the movie of its decade.

Yes, your cool and indie. We got it.

It seems all hipsters hate Inception. What a surprise.

I’m pretty sure someone has to actually have friends they’re trying to impress in order to be called a “hipster”.

So, I should love a movie that others love, giving up my own opinions, in order to not be a “hipster”?

Hipster faggot.

lol how many arguments has inception started on this forum now?

Inception was original, that’s all you need to know… Don’t think about CG, don’t think about acting, think about the screenplay itself (although both graphics and actors were very good). It has an original story, something never seen before, epic storytelling (Christopher Nolan rules) etc. It doesn’t have to be deep and meaningful, it doesn’t have to be shallow and let you go “derp” while you watch it and still know what it’s about.

It’s different, it’s original, it’s well made. That’s all I need to say that it’s good…

Wroooooooooong

inception was cool but thought it was way smarter than it was and so spent way too long explaining itself to the audience (that girl)

I’ve just noted a trend with Tiki. It doesn’t really apply to many other people here.

I might be more tempted to see it (meaning I might expect to enjoy it) if it had a crop of actors I don’t recognize. As it is… Iowa Arnie, Urban Romeo, and Icewater Jack are too prominent. I didn’t enjoy Shutter Island or Revolutionary Road for that reason, so why torture myself with more of it?

Comedy repeats are fine. Typecasted actors being recycled is fine, and some actors are good at changing themselves to be recycled. But…
Leo’s tried to change type without changing his appearance any. Johnny Depp is great at changing himself to fit new characters. DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck… they’re not. And nor do they fit a specific typecast, like Will Smith does. Maybe Harrison Ford, too.

…Also, I liked Avatar.

Meh, IMO it’s the best movie of last decade, since it interested me more than other movies. And moves interesting me must be great, since I can’t stand watching movies.

thats just like your opinion man. the objective facts say that bad lieutenant port of call new orleans was the best film of the decade. and avatar was shitty.

here is where you go wrong. surprisingly, Idi (aka HPN) explains you why:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
