Equilibrium
the overly explicit exposure of the background and Bale’s seemingly almighty martial skills keeps it down. everything else i felt that i could commend heartily.

I liked Equilibrium. I had no idea who Bale was back then. And still didn’t know who he was until he had that anger-management issue on set.
Speaking of Christian Bale, I watched Howl’s Moving Castle the other night. It was weird, and kinda hard to follow, but overall I liked it. It was funny though, whenever he got angry I always thought to myself, “oh he’s mad because he’s doing the Batman voice” lol
Why would you watch the English version?
It is awesome though. So is Spirited Away.
Because most anime are made without original voices, and are dubbed after they are inked, so it is all dubbing either way.
Plus, the TV channels I get only play the english version.
Well, it’s mostly just more comfortable to watch since I don’t have to read the subs, and I won’t miss anything while reading them. So, any time the English dub is pretty good, I prefer to listen to it instead of Japanese. Also, since a good number of anime are in western settings, English voices seems to fit better, like Trigun, etc. And some of those squealy Japanese VAs really grate on my ears too lol. But, good English dubs are pretty infrequent, so I end up watching the Japanese most of the time.
Just saw “The kids are alright” last night.
What a crap movie, it really felt like it was being done ONLY to send the message that gay couples should be accepted nowadays. The story itself just doesnt give you anything, there’s no sorrow or anything. Just a couple of events, that changes just about nothing.
The Fighter
It had it’s moments, but IMO it wasn’t worth the $9.
Why did Christian Bale jump out of a second story window onto a pile of garbage to get away from the crack house?
And I watched Piranha last night.
I thought it was supposed to be lamely awesome, I was disappointed. IMO, no amount of titties flashing on screen could have saved that POS.
I saw Black Swan last friday…if I hadn’t already read the plot on wikipedia it would’ve been better but still quite a clever film.
The lack of tits and increasing amount of sex scenes in the film was frustrating though.
You fucking suck man.
Will still see it for Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis kissing though.
i watched The Green Berets last night. well, some of it. its a creepyass pro vietnam war propaganda piece starring john wayne. id kind of recommend it to anyone who is fucked in the head
The Muppet Movie
Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey
Resident Evil Afterlife
hay gais lets put plagas in with no explanation! (the Wesker fight at the end was badass though, I wish they’d have finished it differently, since, you know, it took one of the most powerful natural forces on Earth to kill him in RE5, and he was almost able to shrug it off)
12 angry men (1957) and Dr. Strangelove (1964)
What can I say? Great movies.
TBH, I found Dr. Strangelove to be extremely boring.
I thought it was hilarious, opinions on Kubrick movies seem to vary a lot. I find some of his movies quite boring yet others very good.

Calm down ladies, you’ll all get a piece of me.
Inception.
Best. Movie. Of. Last. Decade.
Rather this decade so far, as it wasn’t released in '09, Mr.Shadow.
