Avengers is amazing. Definitely need to have seen the other movies beforehand though.
The second Hulk movie was good, Thor was ok, Captain America was decent, the Iron Man movies were simply awesome. That being said, I would suggest watching the Iron Man movies because they are the one’s that focus on the setup for The Avengers.
Thor’s essential to the avengers plot as it borrows several characters from it.
Thor and Cap’murica are the most important. They both introduce everything that needs to be known about the Avengers.
Actually, Thor was the most important movie in hindsight. Upon a second viewing, it was one of the best too.
What Xal said. They have barely anything dealing with The Avengers in Iron Man 2, and only a couple lines in Iron Man. Cap and Thor were both setting up the major plot elements, where Hulk and Iron Man were mostly just introducing their characters.
Just saw the new The Thing. It’s ok at best. Only reason I saw it to the end was because of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, I kinda have a crush on her, but other than that it’s a pretty predictable monster movie full of jump-scares.
I haven’t even seen it yet. I wish that petition to get the practical effects cut released (if it’s not trashed) had more than 300 pathetic signatures.
The CGI is pretty mediocre. I’ve seen PS2 games with better CGI for the cutscenes.
I was hoping that when making the sequel they’d have stuck to the original’s psychological horror. This time the Thing seemed all to eager to jump out and attack people. Not to mention the girl just seemed to catch onto things too fast, but that may have just been me. They did well at least with keeping the set and notable objects inline with the original.
Edit: To clarify, by original I mean the John Carpenter version
It’s a prequel actually.
And at a different base.
I thought it was a remake. I guess they didn’t market it all that well.
Well that tends to happen when the series follows this naming convention
The Thing
The Thing
The Thing
It’s pretty fucking stupid. And I watched some of the terrible CGI on youtube and some guy who complained about the effects got downvoted and a bunch of people rushed to the movie’s rescue saying the CGI was way better then the effects in John Carpenters version.
They must not have the gift of eyesight
I only know The Thing From Another World and John Carpenter’s The Thing.
Yeah just found out the old one was callled that
The movie probably would’ve turned out a lot better if they used these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBAkq1L_iVc&list=UU6ni27wlSEO5uKSwmCL03xQ&index=1&feature=plcp
Wait, they made all those frightening armatures only to replace them with CG shit?
Shit doesn’t make sense.
This was the best version:
Just got back from the Avengers. Normally I don’t believe the hype BUT FUCK NORMALITY THIS MOVIE WAS FUCKING BEYOND AWESOME
I think the studio backing them cut the deadline and forced them to switch to CGI or so I’ve heard
That shit was disturbing
