the robot in rocky iv…
haha its on its fourth montage. fuck this movie
Hurt Locker. P. intense, good flick.
King Kong is such a bad film. It just goes on and on and on.
Which King Kong? I have seen at least three.
Watched Fargo again for the bazillionth time.
The new one. Peter Jackson’s version.
I really enjoyed King Kong, the first part was a little to slow, but once they hit monster island it was pretty much golden from there on out, especially the Kong and two T-Rexs fight
It was poorly acted, the action scenes were long and drawn out, and not very believable. The CG wasn’t very good.
the effects in the original are a lot more impressive in terms of " how the heck did they do that"
obvs i can understand you not liking the film but what? the CGI was great, peter jacksons studio are unbelivable in that department look at LOTR. For example theres a bit in King Kong where loads of broncos pile up, its techincally a nightmare to pull off but they did it and did it brillantly, and a lot of it was models, which themselves are like works of art, like the boat they built it in three sizes, and the detail that went into making each one excatly the same was just wow
unless of course you meant CG for something else in which case ignore what I just wrote lol
The Computer Game of king kong was prett rad
I disagree. It was blindingly obviously that it was CGI, which completely breaks immersion.
I thought Kong looked great, but the broncos would have been my example of where the movie looked shit.
I recently watched Sherlock Holmes, which I would give a 7/10. I really enjoyed it, but the plot could’ve been a little better, I think.
Aliens.
I was just bored one day and I decided to watch it.
I give it an 8.5/10
It seemed to be focused on being a gore-fest.
Aliens? Gorefest?
Zombieland
Awesome movie.
So, I saw the movie today. Here’s my report:
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a disjointed mess of a film. The characters were kind of dull and uninteresting and I didn’t really care if they lived or died (though Verne Troyer was awesome). Mr. Nick was also kind of lame.
The plot seemed to be on a lunch break and only showed up every once in a while to remind us that it’s there. But, when the plot was there, it was stupendous. I loved the message and the metaphor of the Imaginarium.
And, speaking of the land of the Imaginarium, I haven’t seen special effects like this. Unfortunately, those worlds are scattershot and we always end up back in the grimy world of ‘modern?’ London streets where we spend TOO much of the movie (possibly for budgetary reasons).
I give the film 1.5 stars out of 4.
Pros: Verne Troyer, amazing special effects, plot (when it’s there)
Cons: Eveything else
:pffft:
