hahaha oh god
I watched the original Tron to get ready for watching the second one. Despite it not looking very good for today’s standards I really liked how it looked. It was incredibly good.
that + your avatar makes me so uncomfortable that i want to curl up into a ball and vomit all over the world
Tron: Don’t know exactly what to make of this, maybe I should have seen the original first. The effects are easily the best since Avatar, but the storyline… well it’s as if the director thought of this awesome world first, then tried to ducktape characters onto it as an afterthought.
4.5/10
Machete: Hilariously cheesy and over the top, but waaaay too many characters for this kinda movie. Also the tackyness gets kinda tiresome towards the end.
7/10
Black Swan: Absolutely beautiful film, if Natalie Portman doesn’t get flooded with awards i’ll be damned. If you’ve ever enjoyed an Aronofsky film before (Requiem for a Dream, Pi) it’s a must see, but again his unresolved plot points are a minor nuisance. But ho shi- There are certain scenes were you’re on the verge of busting a nut in the cinema.
9.5/10
I, too, have just seen the new Tron. I have seen the original Tron and feel it was the superior film. I think the story in the new film was a bit tired and I couldn’t get the feel of the characters’ motivations; it was like they were just going through the motions. And I wanted to see a better evolution between the original film’s primitive (yet somehow still superior) effects and the new film’s effects.
In the original film, there was a clear goal. In the sequel, it feels muddy.
I liked the new Tron, but I probably wouldn’t buy it when it comes to video. A C+.
Just watched Easy A.
Of course, you might question my sexual orientation for watching a teen highschool movie with a female lead.
But hey, it IS Emma Stone, and you do get to see her is in some nice skimpy outfits.
But that’s not it’s only redeeming factor. It’s actually really well acted, well written and very witty. Enjoyed it.
i heard its a lot like mean girls which is an excellent movie
so i might watch it when i get around to it

Quite different to other animation movies, much darker and scarier. I like it, cause of the difference, but it’s also not a masterpiece. Not a movie, where I really want to see it again, cause it’s so awesome, but it’s still worth it. (7/10)
Harry Potter and the deathly hallows
More action, more funny scenes, more anxious and by far better than the last 2 movies, Although it’s the same director. He did his work very well and made it more alternating (dunno how to explain it here). The cameraman did his job very well too, maybe the movie is better because there is no Hogwarts but nice landscapes. The panoramas were very beautiful and the movie showed the journey of Harry, Hermione and Ron with their loneliness pretty good. I even went a second time into the movie. The music was also decent. Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint could have been better. (9/10)
I have no idea, never seen mean girls. Think my sister loves it though.
Easy A is great, though.
You mean the last movie I saw? Saw VII?
Valhalla Rising…
what. the. fuck.
Stop trying to pass that stuff off as a movie, or even art. It’d make a good animated computer wallpaper, and that’s about it.
electroma what was that i cant even
i loved it though
- up
my creeeeyyyyssss
I agree, I liked it a lot as well. The last scenes especially were very moving. Is there any way to get a DVD of Electroma or something? When I watched it, it was pretty much limited to film festivals and a few uploads on youtube (which was how I saw it).
well the torrent i had was ripped from a dvd so i’m assuming you can
omg when he [COLOR=‘Black’]put thomafbot into a little pyramid
MY CREYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssss
Saw True Grit in the theater, then Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on DVD. Both movies kicked substantial ass.
anyone seen Pi? by darren aronofsky
opinions? i think it’s fucking brilliant
Movies on my laptop while I sort out broken stuff on my desktop.
Snatch (<3 )
The Bourne Identity
Serenity
Watched Devil last night. It was a pretty cool movie I thought.
I watched scott pilgrim on tuesday. I had fun, but didn’t feel the movie was great. IMO it was just OK, but not awesome.
I just didn’t care for scott’s love for ramona, and THAT love is what’s supposed to drive the whole plot. At the risk of sounding cliché, I’ll say that I didn’t feel he really loved her.
I rather liked Scott Pilgrim. It was fun. Not a spectacular piece of film, but it was damn fun, and Emily Wong and Kieran Culkin steal every scene they’re in.
Will watch True Grit soon as I can, for two reasons. A) the original screenplay has a personal stake for me, as I can actually point in scenes in and say, “That’s my old playground!!!” and therefore I have a personal stake in whether this NM-based one is better or not, and b) Jeff Bridges is just that good for me to want to see it.
Watched most of The Killing Room tonight. Was, eh, okay. Very shock-value, was expecting something a little more subtle in its shocks, but it came up short. Wasn’t bad, but not very memorable either.
