The Last Film You Saw.

I saw 3:10 To Yuma too. Love me some Russell Crow. :3

And Patrick Batman.

Spiderman 1 and 2 :hmph:

I laughed during the “peter Parker bad boy” scenes in the third one.

The King of Kong: A fistful of Quarters.

Awesome Documentary.

Zombieland. sucker punch of epic zombie killing action right there.

Iron Man 2, was alright. I prefer the first one over it.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1228705/releaseinfo

Why are the US and Japan the last to release it, and countries like Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Kuwait are among the first?!?!

If they were to get it last, everybody there would have seen the pirated version by the time it opened in theaters.

Big fat edit:

saw Beyond the Gates.
Helps one understand the intensity of such atrocities. I found myself wishing so strongly to fix violence with violence. Thank goodness a rebel opposition army also existed in the country. It provides an ounce of comfort.

The Hurt Locker. Oh my god this movie kicked ass.

I saw Iron Man 2 and I have to say I really liked it. To me it was on par with the first one, the only thing was the final battle against Whiplash could’ve been longer. Other than that it was great, exactly what I wanted out of it.

I also happened to catch Arlington Road on TV today. Most. Depressing. Movie. Ever. Super huge spoilers ahead! Highlight to read:

The ending makes you simultaneously say “WTF they killed him” and “holy crap they set him up so perfectly”. It caught me by surprise because I was expecting Jeff Bridges’ character to win in the end, but he loses in every way imaginable. I suppose it’s a realistic view of how terrorists can operate and how they sometimes win, and I appreciate that, but I generally like movies with happy endings. I like seeing goodness and justice win. Makes me feel better than thinking “terrorists are freaking geniuses and they are going to win and kill me and everyone I love and make it look like I blew up the feds.” Just saying.

Law Abiding Citizen. Watched since the Law Abiding Engineer trailer was so awesome. All I can say is that the ending sucked balls.

I heard they pushed the official release date by a week, but kept the previous one in a lot of countries to get another week of showings before the World Cup kicks off. And since most people on the US don’t really care about the WC…

Anyway, just got back from watching Iron Man 2. It was pretty awesome imo; don’t really know which one I prefer. Also that scene after the credits was epic.

The Blind Side made me :3

I’m totally saying that for the next big movie to come out I see that doesn’t actually have anything there.

Agree on both movies.

Loved Iron Man 2. I thought it was as good as the first one. It was a good bit of fun, even if it was mostly predictable from a mile away. Movies don’t need to be complex and convoluted to be enjoyable. Sometimes straight forward is all that you need.

And I love Micky Rourke as a villain. He is so good at it.

And yes, Arlington Road is such a mind-fuck. I don’t like it, but I think that everyone needs to see it at least once.

God, you people who spit on Avatar for being too shy on plot, and then go gobble up Iron Man because it’s about being awesome instead of being in love! :stuck_out_tongue:

(not particularly you, but I’m guesing some ironmanophiles were the ones who raged at it)

The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Fucked up movie, I’ve got to say. And apparently in the second part of it (which is called Full Sequence) there’s going to be a 12 person long centipede :fffuuu: .

I haven’t seen Avatar. And I was aiming that at the people that complained it was too straight forward.

I also liked that I could see what was going on in Iron Man 2. It wasn’t too dark and the camera work wasn’t shit with quick clips and shaky movement.

Yup, watched the trailer at imdb and THC looks pretty fucked up, can’t decide whether to acquire that ot not :fffuuu:

Have just watched Salo (120 days of Sodom) Pasolini’s last movie before his brutal murder. A mix of Nazism/Fascism in 2nd World War Italy with a de Sade/Dante’s Inferno twist. Nasty stuff, not for the faint-hearted.
