It is. For the first half of the movie you’ll be going ‘oh shit its so true!’ and then when you understand you’ll just be getting mind fucked over and over again.
Most of Zombieland. Appears to be a trend of mine to miss the first half hour of a movie…
Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio is fucking awesome. The god damn truth.
Also say Predators recently. FUCKIN’ LOVE ADRIEN BRODY (inb4 youtube video post of Brodyquest) He’s so sexy, him and his one-liners. Movie cast could’ve been better. Laurence Fishburne is in (Morpheus) and plays some crazy fuck. I think I’ll buy the movie when it hits DVD.
I’ve heard people compare it to the Matrix but it’s not really all that similar. It is absolutely beautiful, the cinematography is gorgeous and the action scenes are done amazingly. Everything fits together like a puzzle and just the feel of the movie overall is awesome.
Inception. Amazing movie, not really sure what I can say that other’s haven’t already said about it.
The only confusing part of the plot is the opening. It jumps around a good bit, but if you pay attention you should be able to keep up.
Also, you’ll be beating yourself up over the final scene. Everyone in my family who saw it was.
Are you kidding me, Predators is fucking shit.
I saw Inception yesterday.
It was OK. Maybe my expectations were too high but, while I liked the concept and the general idea of the movie, it didn’t seem to me as the masterpiece most people here say it was. It was average at best: every character except Cobb was underdeveloped, and the constant succesion of climaxes wasn’t well managed IMO.
I never said it was good.
THANK YOU!!!
I thought I was the only one that felt that way.
Well, at least you’re not alone. There’s one other person that doesn’t adore it .

seriously, every comment on this site says it’s the best movie ever and that it was mind-bending, but I didn’t feel mind fucked or confused.
I feel that the concept had lots of potential but the actual movie failed to make the most out of it.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about movies, it is to only read reviews to get some of the general opinions on the movie. There are plenty of movies I love that lots of people disliked, and some movies that all the critics and moviegoers loved that I was bored to death in. Everyone’s tastes are unique so there’s bound to be a few dissenters in a crowd of lovers or haters.
Nope… me either. I read that comment and was like: “OMG! That’s exactly what I felt!”

I mean, I didn’t hate the film. The special effects were good. The characters were likable (if not a little flat; wish they would’ve fleshed out the supporting cast a bit more). The acting was good. Story line was decent.
My biggest complaints is that, with the fantastical idea of the story, Ariadne was a bit too quick to believe Cobb and far too trusting too quickly to suit me. And she was too quick to begin being able to construct extremely intricate “mazes”. It’s like she’s been doing it for years within like the third try. Perhaps a montage to show her mistakes more instead of just one scene where the “projections” attacked.
Ah well. Still a decent flick. Might pick it up in the stores if I have the money but it’s not one I’m too excited about coming out on video.
You do realize that Ariadne was an architect student don’t you?
I do. Of actual buildings. But she was out of her element.
Edit: Nevermind, I wasn’t thinking right with this post.
Anyway, I saw “Disney’s The Princess and the Frog” yesterday. I thought it was enjoyable. Not the greatest thing I’ve ever seen, but still a good Disney movie.
I couldn’t agree more (except for the ‘good acting’ bit, I felt only Di Caprio succeded in that aspect). It IS a decent flick, but it’s not the best movie ever as some paint it, not even close. 7/10
In other news, I saw Reservoir Dogs today for the first time. I liked it, mainly because I love Tim Roth.
Some people can never be satisfied.
True. I’m happy not to be one of them.
