The iPad triggered something

Told you it would cause a boom in the entire eReader/Tablet market.

And this actually looks like something that could actually destroy the iPad, unlike Zune’s failed attack on the iPod. But of course, it’s still Microsoft, so they’re bound to fuck it up somehow. But nevertheless, this preview really shows some nice things regarding the Courier.

I’m curious for the future.

Meh… Looks like a fancy nintendo DS.

The iPad triggered something…Women are shoving tablets up their vaginas during menstruation :fffuuu:

FYI plans for that were out a while time ago. About the same time a the first ipad “leak” there was the first glimpse of the Courier interface.

BUT I wont argue with the rush to tablet computers. The last CES was filled to the brim with crappy tablet computers in anticipation of the new, at the time called, Apple Tablet.

EDIT: I forgot to state that I could kill come one for a Courier. Everything about seems awesome! I could see that filling a niche perfectly.

the WePad is better than both of these imo

The Courier looks pretty sick, more designed to be a interactive diary sort of thing i think.
what interests me the most is the physical to digital writing, will it be smoothed and grammar checked or just copied onto the screen?

Tablet computers, I think, will pretty much suck until they understand that by tablet computers, we mean we want it as close to the PC as possible, but with the ability to use it as easily, if not easier, than one, and to have it last about 15 hours in battery life. We don’t want some retarded iPad “tablet computer” using the same OS as a damn phone–that’s just stupid.

Hence why they’re selling so much.

Damn, now that’s the right idea.

But, I prefer to look at HP’s Slate PC.

Now although their support staff is retarded, and their computers are barely upgradeable, this looks nice.

I can’t imagine a touchscreen being easier to use than mouse and keyboard (shortcuts, anyone?)

Are these other tablets gonna have a bastardized OS like the Ipad, or are they gonna use modified windows 7 software?

WePad has a modified Linux which can run android app’s

The Slate is going to have Windows 7. In my opinion, the Slate seems like the clear option. Yeah, the iPad wont have viruses, but it sure as hell wont have anything on it that Apple doesn’t want. With the USB ports, webcam, and all that jazz, it just seems like the Slate is much more free to do what you want with. Not that having your every move depend on what iTunes wants you to do isn’t fantastic, but, oh wait. It isn’t. The iPad isn’t a tablet computer. It’s a big iPod Touch. No multitasking, only apps… No freedom.
