damn…
is it me or the dwarves look a bit cartoony?
I have a feeling this is gonna be a lighter tone than the lotr films… then again, the books were like that too.
Seriously? The tune of “They’re Taking the Hobbits to Isengard”?
^what
You talking about that annoying ass remix meme that uses the melody of the main theme from the movie’s score?
I really hope not.
Oh, and the cartoony dwarves is probably the makeup being oversaturated so they don’t wash out and read as yellow in 48 fps which is what this movie’s gonna run at.
I don’t get it either, but they came to this conclusion through tests so I trust them.
Looks amazing, but sucks we have to wait almost another whole year to see it.
Yes. The moment that crappy remix was created, Jackson should’ve went "fuck this song,w e ain’t using it for the hobbit… But It looks like it’ll still be the main theme of this movie.
Now I’ll be thinking of that meme every time I hear the tune during the movie.
I just watch the extended version of the fellowship.
This movie had better last at least 14 hours.
Well it’s split into two, so by the time they’re both released, a “full” hobbit movie should be about 8 hours with the extended cuts.
Fuck, why NEXT December…me wants NAO
so I can turn 24 and see The Hobbit’s premiere on the same day
FUCK YEAH!
The budget for it is 500 million dollars, btw. May be the most expensive project in movie history.
WTF, Tangled cost more than Avatar?
Terra Nova had a massive budget as well and the CGI used is dwarfed by a low budget British production like Primeval.
Just sayin’, budget never indicates quality. The thing that bugs me the most about Jackson’s movies is that he seemingly forces his actors to overact like a madman, and by the looks of the trailer, this will be the case for the Hobbit as well.
Is that both parts or just one?
Also I look forward to this. It’ll be interesting to see people who haven’t read the novel’s reaction to the change in tone from LotR.
They film them as one, probably, and split it into two parts. I know they filmed the 3 LotR movies at once and just released them one year after the other.
Both parts.
Well, that’s the whole feel of LOTR. Personally I love it. It’s hilarious and engaging at the same time. I’m a sucker for characters who wear their character on their sleeve
