The songs were the worst parts of the books, why does Jackson have to be dumb and include any of them?
Then again, I haven’t been looking forward to this, while everyone else ever has been. Every Peter Jackson movie I’ve seen (aside from Fellowship) has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I’m with you on the songs, although I’m honestly not sure that I remember any songs in The Hobbit. It’s been a while since I’ve read it, though. As for looking forward to it, I don’t generally look forward to movies (they aren’t really my thing), but I did enjoy The Hobbit a lot more than any of the other books in the trilogy.
