I can’t seem to find the old threads relating to this. If they’re still out there or if they were removed for a reason then forgive a cockroach/garg for not lurking moar.

I was just wondering about the progress of the HL2 glitch fixes since the update. I noticed through replaying a month ago that a lot have been cleared up but there were still some bugs, particularly that moodbreaking Breen animation glitch in Red Letter Day.

Have there been some general repairs since then or are some of them reliant on your computer setup, in which case is there anything that can be done?

Nah, Valve still needs to fix many bugs.

Nope, the ghost couch is still there… I also checked to see if it was also on the 360… sure is, so thats kind of… not sure. But it still has its bugs.

Why the fuck does the installer need 4Gb of free space on my system partition? Why can’t it use the fucking 400Gb on the fucking D:??? RAAAGGGEEE!!!

Dude, i know what you mean! To my knowledge, Steam will only install games in the Steam directory (if anyone knows of evidence supporting otherwise, please do tell). This forced me to move my steam directory to a different hard drive ages ago.

Is there a chance I can force the installer to use another drive for unpacking/extracting/whatever it is it needs my C: for?

[EDIT] don’t mind the missing “k” from the “Ok” button. It’s a glitch of the custom msstyle I’m using. Haven’t gotten round to fixing it yet.

What are all these bugs? Since the update I haven’t found any problems at all except the skybox texture resizing thing (there’s a fix on FPSBanana) and the airboat loosing all its speed through a load point
So what’s this about a ghost couch and the Breen anim glitch?

I haven’t found the ghost couch but there used to be plenty of screenshots on the old thread. And the Breen glitch is during the transporter scene during Red Letter day. Previously He used to stand up in surprise (as you would) after Gordon teleports into his office. Now he just sits, slumped on his desk with his chair a few feet away.
There’s a few other things like the Buggy getting the muscle car’s stats making it slower but more powerful. There game also used to freeze right after you teleport into Kleiner’s lab after Nova Prospekt. It’s since been fixed in an update.

For me, Alyx’s texture is all fucked, up it looks like she has a beard, and a bit of hand across her shoulder.

I don’t know what all these glitches are about. I’ve never once had an error or glitch on a legal copy of any steam game.

Delete the game from your computer and download a fresh copy of it.

I think that’s what happens if you have a custom skin installed for Alyx. The update uses the updated model, so the skin texture needed for it is different.
