The Half Life ending

I’d just let the G-Man transform into a Gargantua and make him go “ROAR!” and let the screen fade out then. x)
Frankly, it doesn’t matter to me if they’re just standing there or not, as logn as it doesn’t become a “last as long as possible” level at the end, because it will feel like the game didn’t really end.

They cannot change something so fundamental to the series as what G-man ever says or does. Every G-man’s move, every word he says, must be reproduced 1:1, because G-man is a key figure and future installments might be referring to events from HL1. If they changed his paths or words or gestures, they might introduce plotholes.

We shall see, Raminator. We shall see. I’d be very surprised if you dared changing the G-man sightings in perceivable way. My guess is that where G-man left the scene to the left, he’ll still leave it to the left in BM, and where he stepped into a teleporter, he’ll still step into a teleporter.

After all, I was talking about his words and actions.

Just keep the HL ending as it is, goddamnit! Fighting the grunts at the end of the game would completly ruin the original atmosphere, goddamnit! Pending end + scary music FTW, goddamnit! Half-Life’s not a arcade game, goddamnit! That’s all I can say.

I wish at the huge alien army ending you could at least try to defeat as many as you can before it fades to black.

I don’t know, removing that original feeling of doom and imminent death seems unacceptable to me. I love that kind of scary ending that ends on a question.

It wouldn’t make a difference, because he’d die anyway and thus in that ending there’d be no HL2, and… learn to recognize irony when it’s being rubbed in your face :slight_smile:

Ram… The only G-man sighting in that chapter is c1a3b, and if you try to spawn gman in c1a3, it crashes because HL1 only precaches resources used the specific map it’s loading.

Just open up the console and type this stuff :

  1. sv_cheats 1
  2. fadeout
  3. impulse 101

turn on yarr flashlight and kill them all

Actually you can spawn grunts at any time using grunt o matic if you save, use impulse 76, then load and use it again.

I didn’t know about that… I wonder if it works on other NPCs too…

You might be able to use it on other monsters.

I haven’t tried in a while. I know for other monsters you have to use noclip and the give command.
