The giant fan on blast pit.

Hurr. :retard:

I c wut yu did there :expressionless:

It wasn’t about that part of the game being difficult.
It was about it being retarded.

WTF morons I NEVER had any problems with the fan.

U MAD

hey man

hey

There are alot of strange designs in hl, the fan that can kill you if you turn it on, crates stapled in the way so you can’t get through, the lab/kitchen/whatever room filled with water…
Doesn’t really bug me (Oh, and the roaches everywhere).

what wrong with the roaches ? it’s just a damn big place and they’re cutting up the budget and saving from exterminator bills and cheap contractors

^ + they make tasty Free snacks!

If the player accelerate upwards, can acceleration fields be programmed in the source engine? If so, has it been done elsewhere in the valve games?

Episode 1 - if you don’t run across the bridges in the citadel, you get pushed off.

trigger_push

Anyone else notice that the fan blade portion is used elsewhere? I keep noticing that one backward blade everywhere it seems… :meh:
I don’t know why this disappoints me - I guess I just sort of thought the giant fan was… idk… special or something?

(or maybe valve figured no one would scrutinize it so much  )[/SIZE]

So :expressionless:

It’s a reused model and texture. Every single game has them in every single location. It wouldn’t be able to run if every object in the game was unique, it’s as simple as that.

…fan operates at 33% efficiency.

Yo dog… oh nevermind.

Yo dawg we herd u liek fans so we recycled yo fans so you can blow while you suck wait wut

Giant fan? Can’t believe nobody thought of this before:

I suddenly have the urge to spawn a horde of scientists above the fan.

Scientist Slaughterhouse it is!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
