The giant fan on blast pit.

Getting past this derailment :hmph:

is the solution to the fan problem something we’ll just find out once the mod is released? or do we get to know before hand (i.e. in this topic)?

Almost certainly we won’t find out until the mod is released. Developers have been known to deliberately not answer a question that is answered just to piss the person off who asked it in the first place and not succumb to peer pressure.

They’ve been fairly tight-lipped about things for the most part. I hate being “spoiled” and I rather enjoy the stance they’ve taken so far. If anything, I’m hoping for an answer along the lines of: “Yeah, we figured it out - it’s the most awesome thing you could ever imagine. We’d love to tell you all about it, but you’ll just have to wait and see for yourself.”

However, I wouldn’t mind knowing if all the fan blades will be angled correctly.

I hope it’s as close to the original as possible, it would be boring if I don’t have to climb under the fan to activate it.

Thanks for your complaint, maybe in the future EVERYTHING won’t annoy you

I think it should be there in some form as well. I haven’t played through half life in about 10 years and it’s one of the things that sticks out in my head most. Everything is better with nostalgia glasses on!

I’m sure it’ll be in there, just modified to make more sense.

like a floodwater pipe at ground-level at a high point in the middle of the desert :3

Eh?

I seriously doubt it.

What? No ridiculously thick 4 blader anymore?

It had 3. :hmph:

Mind = windblown

I hope I will take some damage after I jump into the air-stream and hit the ceiling. The speed was incredible in HL1. Either that or the accelleration decreases gradually the higher I get (proportionally or exponentially I wonder?).

Or you have to crouch to go up, and slowly go down if you stand (higher/lower surface).

Am I crazy?

sharpening his crowbar

I think the fan should be treated like water. Where you can ‘swim’ through the air flow.

Sounds like it’s now a ridiculously thick 12 blader. :fffuuu:

fizziks! :pirate:

Thick 12 inch cock :expressionless:

It wasn’t hard at all, dunno what you’re talking about

Now I’l have no reason to play past Blast Pit!
