So true Catz, so true. :3

I’m not obese

Anyway I remember when I was a newbie here, things weren’t different from today. To all newbies my advice is hang up, avoid obvious flames and don’t be surprise is sometimes you don’t have answer to your question (but I think that last statement is a bit out-of-date : now it has been replace by "check the FAQ or the wiki).

Every time I hear troll I think of Grumpy Old Troll from Dora. I give my daughter credit for that one as she over heard the conversation I was having with the Mrs. and she started singing.

Okay, thanks for explaining, as a lurker I hadn’t seen any of these games before, and the way people had described them made it sound like one of the devs had just decided to ban people for the hell of it. I seem to say this a lot: in that case, never mind me.

SWIPER NO SWIPING! SWIPER NO SWIPING!

SkyBlue, no prob buddy.

I thank you as well, catz. I wasn’t sure from the initial descriptions if this was a game only the mods were in on or if those getting banned were in on it too. There’s nothing wrong with gambling when the stakes don’t cost you any money or freedom.

I think there were a couple of innocent bystanders caught in the scuffle… but in general when you see a one day ban for anyone it normally is of a joking matter rather than a serious matter. I am unsure if all understand this tho.

:ponder-face:

Lol, the ban game was funny, I clicked to read the last page to see what the banhammer came down for and it said banned. I just thought, “Damn, outfoxed”

Their mod, their forum, their rules if you don’t like it, get out. You can be sure as hell I’ll be doing the same for the forum for my project.

He’s answering the question posed by a moderator about why he doesn’t bother posting here. If you don’t like his answer, uh, er… get out? No, that doesn’t make sense.

this is what I was going to say, but after catz explained that we play games and actually have fun here, he understood and accepted it.

I know but I just went through a timewarp and didn’t read that part.

So… any other grievances you folks feel should be stated? Not just to each other, but also to us moderators?

This page is hilarious. 75% of the posts at the end of this page alone are all just bashing a guy for a grammatical error.

Looks like it is all in humor rather than in rage.

Next?

Not enough epic trolls.

you mean community publicity stunts, like this: https://forums.blackmesasource.com/showthread.php?p=57947#post57947

as for complaints, I think we’ve hit all the big ones. What happens now?

WElp… I could close this thread I suppose. But I am kinda itching to keep it open for times where temp bans are removed and folks need a place to publicly offer their complaint. Should they have a mind to. Then again, the “raminator and kaned” thread is much more applicable and humorous.

I dunno. I will leave it for now.

Why is it that you are NOT posting?

I believe it might have to do with the fact that there’s very little to discuss in the forum, discussion of the mod has stagnated, every important aspect of the mod has been addressed. Discussions now are for feeding curiosity of certain inclusions to the mod such as if the M4A1 skin will included in the mod. Discussions outside of the mod degenerate into flaming, not really much you can do other than what you’re currently doing. Online gaming forums tend to degenerate to people flinging shit at each other, it’s the mindset of the community.

I do not post because there is no need to, as some guy stated before, its better to just sit back and watch. These threads has no relevance to the mod that is going to be released. If i want to post in some forums which has nothing to do with the mod, I’ll just go to 4chan or something. I mean, there are a lot of threads here that is so damn irrelevant to Black Mesa. Though there are some threads that can be a bit interesting… well, i don’t post on them either because I’m pretty much just a lurker :stuck_out_tongue:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
