I think it’s a newer version of the same model.
Fixed.
I like the analogy of baking a cake and the cook realizes that it isn’t quite done yet and wants to let it finish baking a few minutes longer, but the customer wants it NOW. It might still taste pretty good, but it won’t have that perfection taste to it.
Perhaps the cook is done laying down the foundation, and now is working on the icing.
That could also be acceptable I like icing.
It all works out, you see? Because of the delay, the devs can make their final touches to the mod they’ve been working tirelessly on for a few years, so when they do release, the quality work will be appreciated by the fans.
Wouldn’t that imply that they have to bake a whole new cake with different ingredients? :fffuuu:
…It’s a magic cake.
I think this thread is losing it’s direction again. Mattemuse’s intentions were pretty sound. Perhaps this could be merged (minus the off-topic posts) with the 2009 Release Date Update thread?
Why would the discussion of a Kotaku article/interview on the topic of Batman Arkham Assylum’s delay be merged with the official Black Mesa delay anouncement discussion thread? That thread has nothing to do with this thread, other than the fact that both games were delayed.
Er, because we’re discussing Black Mesa’s Delay?
Just because you’ve referenced another game’s delay doesn’t exactly warrant a new thread…
Your minimodding does not impress me, sir.
I’m not trying to minimod. I’m trying to help clean up your thread. Or at least give it a greater meaning.
EDIT: Oh, and if it appears I’m minimodding, then I apologise. I was a moderator on these boards once upon a time.
Mini modding is implying superiority by issuing demands as if you are a mod. Garcian simply made suggestions not demands.
grand theft auto IV.
That game was supposed to be released in october and it got delayed to april i think. And it was one of the best games this generation. It got 10s and 5 stars across many websites. Do you think that if it didn’t get delayed, it would get as much critical acclaim.
Undeserved critcal acclaim IMO.
It was no doubt the best technically, and character wise…but the game was rather boring compared to the rest of the series.
They put to much effort in trying to make it real. Instead of trying to make it fun.
Inb4 Realistic ragdoll rolling across the ground at 450 km/h.
It’s a new model altogether. It’s obvious when you compare the old with the new side-by-side.
I’m quite sure that’s what Raminator or JamesKane said, actually, but I can’t find a quote.
