Currently using Firefox 4, haven´t tried Chrome (not planning to either because I love Firefox).
I’d also like to express my hatred towards the worst piece of software ever written in history. This software is commonly known as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. This fucking thing is so unpredictable, crashes so many times, has so many random lag moments and is SO fucking slow it’s a miracle anyone would want to use it. Anyone still using Internet Explorer should kill himself/herself.
i like firefox chrome is poo
I used Explorer way back when I bought this desktop system.
Why?
It came with the system and I used it to download Firefox. But now, I have issues with Firefox (namely, it still has a problem with being a memory hog) so currently, I alternate between Opera and Safari (yeah, shut up, kid).
When Mozilla fixes its memory problem with Firefox, I’ll return to it.
I like both Chrome and Firefox, but I like Firefox more.
Chrome is faster but has these little quirks and things that piss me off.
My ideal browser would be Firefox using Chrome’s rendering engine.
Opera sucks. It’s bloated with useless features and only renders the page after it downloads everything.
More like your memory problem.
What do you mean, Jean?
firefox 4 actually really does have a pretty bad memory problem tho
it was fine before i downloaded the beta or w/e i think this is still a beta
Firefox is my only true love but these days there are weird bugs in the newest build of Minefield, like on google maps, if I zoom in, half the screen just forgets to update and I see half the screen zoomed in properly while the other half is just garbage graphics like when your satellite TV is lagging.
it does the same with flash videos and other crap… When it happens I switch to the official latest Firefox release.
I will never switch to (webkit)chrome.
Shuddup. Firefox 4 is some hot shit. And it’s fast, too.
used chrome until it shat itself, now im on the good ol piece of shit firefox
i have to say i missed it
and its slowness
Never loses
lightning speed
max pulchritude
On a PC, Firefox, but I’m considering Chrome. On my mac, Safari.
I was using Chrome and now I changed back to Firefox because Firefox 4 is :awesome:
BTW, you guys saying Firefox 4 is consuming more memory than Chrome, I disagree:

I ran a small test here. I disable all extensions from both browsers and opened Chrome’s tab “about:memory” and measured the amount of private memory that was used.
2 tabs
Firefox: 114 MB
Chrome: 99 MB
3 tabs
Firefox: 145 MB
Chrome: 118 MB
4 tabs
Firefox: 144 MB
Chrome: 127 MB
5 tabs
Firefox: 149 MB
Chrome: 147 MB
6 tabs
Firefox: 183 MB
Chrome: 195 MB
7 tabs
Firefox: 192 MB
Chrome: 205 MB
This test makes me think that FF uses more memory for the browser and less memory for each tab when compared to Chrome. However, extensions also use a lot of memory in Firefox.
BTW, performance-wise, Firefox 4 is losing for Chrome only in benchmarks related to Javascript, which is not where speed is that necessary.
Regardless of anything, I have to say that Chrome is an incredible browser which got a lot of popularity and forced all other browsers (including IE) to change for the best, both in performace and appearance. Firefox 4, IE 9 and Opera Whatever only exist because of Chrome. But this time my vote goes for Firefox 4
Who has like 7 tabs open at the same time?
me
The hell are you doing? I normally have 3, one for Facebook, one for BMS, and one for general browsing. When comparing things like computer parts I have like 4.
2 tabs for general purpose, the other 5 for porn?
