The Boredom Thread

crysis is beyond the macbook.

That’s obvious. You have to play Crysis on a NASA supercomputer for the game to be perfect. If I wanted to play Crysis on maximum settings, I would buy the most expensive Alienware desktop computer. Obviously, Crysis is nothing but eye candy. There are better games out there so I won’t waste my time on buying a machine to play Crysis. Oh and by the way, Crysis has that SecureROM crap that keeps the game from being completely deleted off the computer and you have only 3 activations that are allowed and after that the game won’t work so screw you Crytek for ticking people off on Amazon :fffuuu:

EDIT: Bioshock and Mass Effect have the same kind of issues when it comes to SecureROM and a limited number of activations.

I played crysis on all settings maxed out on my PC that I paid 299$ for the various parts. :3

Macs suck at life, just get over it.

The Geforce 9600 can run Crysis, so no, it’s not.
You can’t run Crysis on high settings or anything, but not a whole lot of laptops can.

I had a mate who played it on high and said the deatail wasn’t that enhanced. He said the wall textures were slightly clearer, and not much else was changed.

ultra-high!

I think you meant to say that Macs have long lives. You get over it, Sersoft. My Macbook will last 14 years while your PC will last 6, maybe 7 years. I win! :stuck_out_tongue:

Works in all situations. I made real life have higher res textures, the lag sucks though.

Lag in SP?

Someone doesn’t know what he’s on about.

Who fucking wants the same comp for 7 years, none the less 14.

It’s retarded fanboys like him that ruin it for the rest of us macfags.

ohbtw I can’t give any reason why not to ban him; I can think of several why you shouldn’t wait 24 hours to do so…

I use a PC too, you know. It just is not powerful enough for Black Mesa because it has an Intel Celeron processor and some Intel Family Graphics Card that is weak. I promise not to challenge PC users anymore. PC’s are awesome and I might just take Jokerine’s advice to buy a gaming laptop. I have my eyes on the Asus gaming laptop. I might just get it so I can play Black Mesa in all of its’ HDR glory. Anyway, PCs are more powerful than Macs. Macs are weaker. There, I said it. It’s true. Now I will go and hang my head in shame for having a Mac :frowning:

But he’s pretty… OK nvm I don’t have a reason.

bob,

I was just talking to my buddy and he tells me he never played HL1 because the beginning tram sequence was such a pain in the ass it made him quit. Hahaha fail.

Tell your friend to take a 15-minute break from the HL1 game and then come back to his computer. The tram sequence will be over and the real action of Gordon Freeman will begin.

@ Raminator: Please give me another chance. I will stop being a troll. Instead of banning me, go ahead and lock this thread if you want to. I will not be a troll anymore. I will talk about Windows and PC things only from now on. I promise this or may lightning strike me dead if I break the promise. I am now a Windows fanboy looking forward to Windows 7.

That would be just as bad. We don’t give a crap whether you like Macs, PCs or pocket calculators, we just don’t want to hear about it all the time, and especially not when it’s totally irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Seconded.

On a different note, ID Software is coming out with a new Wolfenstein game. I assume it is a remake of the old Wolfenstein with the Quake 4 graphics engine or the Doom 3 graphics engine. I also cannot wait for the sequel, Mass Effect 2. I’ve seen some released videos on YouTube where the developers talk a little about it and it looks sweet.

How the hell was that supposed to be a response to my “seconded”?

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
