Say what?:fffuuu:
Oh man, a Mass Effect game by Bethesda. How about an Elder Scrolls game by Bioware?
The possibilities are immense!
So I was playing WoW by Square Enix and I was wondering why it was all Asian style, I guess I should go back to FFXIII by Blizzard, their game is way better anyways.
Valve, Rockstar Games, SEGA.
Valve, obviously, as well as Bioware and id.
It also surprises me that nobody has mentioned Epic given how much their engine is used in other games and how much it supports the modding community.
Finally (another one which surprises me in that it’s not mentioned) is Gearbox… mainly because they’re saving the Duke! On the same vein, I guess I should say 3D Realms too.
Epic have had a massive effect on the FPS genre, and the industry as a whole, but they haven’t done much lately and their engine isn’t brilliant.
The original Square (before they sold out), Valve, Bioware (more for neverwinter and baldur’s gate, I’m not into ME), oldschool Sega when they actually made good games, Nintendo.
Am I the only one who thinks Blizzard is lame. They make the SAME games they were making a decade ago. SC2 = SC1 + new graphx. Furthermore, people should stop referring to them as Blizzard, who we kidding its activision. Those idiots sold themselves off despite insane profits.
Anywho, whoever is making the new Deus Ex gets my vote!
I would agree Blizzard isn’t that good. Their games just aren’t my thing. Plus they made WoW, which I consider a terrible game.
A couple of people would disagree, I guess. I’ve only played DiabloII, linear as fuck but polished very well.
the only reason I like blizzard is diablo I/II
the rest of their games are crap
Valve, GSC, Frictional Games, Nintendo, and Rockstar.
Valve, Rockstar Games (for the GTA series), Criterion Games (for the Burnout series, really the only racing games I can bear playing), Crytek, Nintendo for the SNES and games released for it, Sony for the PSP and hopefully the upcoming PSP2 (they could have done better software-wise though), and probably a few others I’m forgetting
Personally, while I didn’t exactly love any of the Modern Warfare games, I still think they’re better than Bad Company 2. I hated the latter so much; the only reason I played it for more than 5 minutes was because of the destructible environments, and once I installed Crysis I never opened up BFBC2 again.
Valve, Blizzard, Ubisoft, DICE, Rockstar, CA, ES (lol), Pandemic (lulz)
In this order:
- Valve
- Rockstar Games
- Retro Studios
- Bungie
nintendo could buy all of them
Bungie (seriously, their titles other than Halo are all fucking awesome… cept ONI which is perfcetly ‘meh’) Possibly the most underrated dev team out there considering their least quality work got all the publicity.
Bioware.
I will not say Valve because valve.
Oh, there was pandemic when they were still alive. I loved all their shit.
I for one like Blizzard, Arkane Studios and GSC…
Blizzard for Warcraft 3, it introduced me to the world of modding, and I loved the way they introduced every game and campaign with a stunningly well animated 3d movie. The Starcraft 2 cinematics deserve commendation for how beautifully they were made.
The recently bankrupt company Arkane Studios, which was responsible for Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (which was among my favourite fantasy adventure games, I don’t think any game in it’s genre could reproduce the amount of fun I had while playing that!!!).
And lastly GSC, for the amazing stalker series, each and every one had such a beautiful, believable and frightening atmosphere.
Tripwire Interactive. The amount of support they gave to Red Orchestra and Killing Floor is simply astounding for such a small and young studio. I can’t wait for Red Orchestra 2.
Zynga
U jelly?
Seriously though they were lucky to find out that most people only play games that are shit and easy to get and easy to play. If you find a place like facebook which is full of people that have no life and too much time you can make profit.
