The assassins

Yeah i hated them in hl1 buggers to kill :stuck_out_tongue:

Theyā€™re actually pretty reasonable once you get used to how they move, but definitely a step above the rest of the HL1 fair. Gargantuas are easier to kill, provided you have the ammo. Hell, even Nihilanth is easier in some ways than the assassins are.
I suppose if I was willing to use Satchels, RPGs, Tau Cannon and Gluon Gun they might be easier, but I can never seem to justify it for them. Plus you generally meet them before you get that stuff. I usually use .357 and Crossbow for them, with a few grenades for flushing them out.

I only use the MP5, but in the secound encounter you can aim at the head of an assassin without it sees you, so there I use the crossbow.

I forgot about the SMG grenades. Theyā€™re also pretty effective, as long as you have enough in stock.

alright

For future reference,

Garg can be killed with nades, rockets and gluon gun.

Gargantuas cannot be killed by normal methodsā€¦wasting your ammo on him just makes him flinch for a second if powerful enough.

edit: I would not use a 357 to shoot turrets. Iā€™d use grenades because those turrets will rape you.

I was referring to the original garg, but thatā€™s good to know. At least I wont waste my time trying it in the mod.

Aye. We have a few visual cues that should help illustrate attacking him with your weapons does nothing.

I already read that bullet ricochet off, i believe it was posted by rmntr. But when the game is released iā€™ll be so overexited that iā€™ll forget every single fact i ever read here & hide in the track control room of power up, and throw all my grenades and smg contact grenades at this thing. and then iā€™ll be disappoint

in the original HL if you aimed your nades right theyā€™d land inside the gargā€™s head. didnā€™t take many to kill him if you did that. but then the rest of the chapter was a bit wierd.

if this game makes you regress back to the first time you played HL1 in your childhood, thatā€™s a good thing.

Fixā€™danananananā€¦an

Hey, come on guys, lets get back on topic here. Weā€™re supposed to be talking about assassans.
:retard:

so back on topic
for the record, these are assasins. militairy assasination is based on: stealth, effectiveness and above all to take out the target
as the militairy already noticed, running headfirst into gordan does not work. so why should assasins try the same thing
they should attack you from where they least expect it, above, behind (below?). just to keep you permanently paranoid

They should make it so that when you quit the game and turn off your computer they attack you in the shower.

:jizz:

Definitely :jizz:
