Here’s a question that’s always wondered my mind: Why do the rotors on the AM float in ALL of the Half-Life games? They did this in Half-Life, Source, Half-Life 2, and seem to in Black Mesa as well. Is there some sort of reason for this? Or do they just float due to graphical limitations and this was carried over to the other games?
My imagination is that they’re either held up by magnets, or some other physical force that science has not yet discovered (Since BM obviously uses science further from what we have today)
I’ve always wondered that, too.
I just figured it was some form of super-calculated magnetism.
High-temperature superconductivity
aka science!
Wow… I feel REALLY stupid for not thinking about magnets. I mean, it’s pretty obvious I’m reminded of the Half-Life fan trailer by James Benson which expands upon the idea of the rotors literally floating and behaving similar to magnets. Quite an impressive trailer if you haven’t seen it
Imagine if Freeman’s Mind was made like this.
with everything wobbling for no reason?
Hey, let’s be super fucking cool and nitpick something just because it’s popular and well-liked
no, let’s just be critical of things that we don’t like
Opinion recycler
Even when the power is off?
It’s science you buffoons! You can’t explain science!
I don’t nitpick it because it’s popular or well-liked, personally I nitpick things when people don’t shut the fuck up about them &/or bring them up at every possible opportunity.
Silly gooses!
it’s obviously held up by the prettiness of Ram’s nose
Agreed.
The light on my TV is on when the TV is off and it turns off when my TV is turned on.
You just summed up why people don’t like Skrillex
No power no science and u’r wrong only science can explain science
