The 20,000 Facebook Likes Challenge

I hope so :frowning:

my best guess is the media release will consist of screenshots from Xen.

It’s probably just a pair of pictures showing the floor and the cockroaches. Maybe a photo of some guy’s bar mitzvah will be slipped in by accident. Those things happen.

Nah, they have more class than that. It would almost certainly be port wine cheese.

It’s going to be an enemy showcase of the Laser-Sighted Headcrabs. It’s obvious when you think about it.

Don’t be too optimistic, Maxey, you might hurt yourself :stuck_out_tongue:

Their tight-lippedness makes me a little more hopeful. Still not necessarily expecting more than screenies.

I bet how that feeling is keeping tons of people from giving the page a ā€œlikeā€, but that’s understandable. Let’s just wait and see, when the big stuff is released, it will likely get a thousand likes a day!

Its already getting more than a thousand likes a day.

If a mod that has been considered dead by the majority of the gaming community -due to stupidity and laziness, nonetheless- can get 20,000 likes in less than two or three days, then when it gives a release date and get’s people secure with being excited I suspect the mod could have over 100,000 likes by the end of the month – easily.

In the last 24 hours it’s gotten (oh god) over 9,000 likes.

I can stay up tonight til about one thirty am eastern… maybe 2:00. It is now 8:00PM… am I wrong in thinking that Asia is waking up right now?.. Could this not happen before sleepy-time?

Dang, where are my Dependsā„¢?.. oh, there they are… sitting right next to the box of Kleenex™…

WHAT 9000?!

That’s what I wanted to mean, you see, many people are visiting the page and leaving without giving it a ā€œlikeā€ā€¦ I’ve been refreshing it all day long, and it happened sometimes that I refreshed it within 5 seconds and ends up it shows one less like than before…

I’ve got my best scientists working on what the fuck you just said.

I wouldn’t say the majority of the Half-Life gaming community, but a large portion, yes.

Averaging 6/minute now :frowning:

edit: Eeks!! only fucking 6 total in the last 3 minutes!!!

I said the gaming community, not the Half Life gaming community. But considering it’s a mod of Half Life, I can see why you would think that. Yeah, I mean, the Half Life community doesn’t get information that others communities don’t. I’ve seen plenty of Half Life fans -and Black Mesa fans- rampant on YouTube searching for any reason to believe the mod is still alive.
