Textures creation: Monitor calibration?

I wanna start creating some game art like custom textures for Source Engine games. But I was wondering, whether it would make sense to calibrate my monitor. Or is something like that only important, if you intend to produce print media?

Did you degauss?

Have you deribbled your scrimbler?

switch to s-video

lol’d @ degauss

OP, There’s a color calibration tool in Control Panel (win7). I used it a few days ago and my display looks much better.
I don’t know if you were thinking of something more advanced than that but there’s not much to lose from just going through it.

Looks he’s gonna have to rephase his deblar levels too.

Yes. if you want to make something good. Ignore trolls.
EDIT: but lol’d at degauss.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
