TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

If Bethsoft decides to add seasonal foliage my mind would be blown

it’s fine how it is. Doesn’t it already have foliage that matches the different seasonal areas in skyrim already?

…of course it does, as do 90% of games with different climate types.

I just want the seasons to change dynamically in the same place and the foliage to reflect those changes, that would go a long way towards making the world feel more alive

So I want to know some of the mods everyone is using.

Right now I am using Skyrim Monster Mod. It’s pretty fun for the most part and the guy working on it must have put a mind boggling amount of time into it.

Unfortunately there are a few creatures that must have been added after his mind was completely boggled. When I get my new computer set up I’m going to be looking into removing baby elephants, bone horrors and raptors. Baby elephants and Bone Horrors are retarded beyond belief and raptors are just so poorly done I felt embarrassed just looking at them. (rigged to that damned werewolf skeleton that the mod creator is so desperately infatuated with.)

Otherwise though it is a pretty awesome mod as far as I have seen. The Guars are so cute your insides just melt into warm and fuzzy puddles of D’aww, with their kinked little tails, derpy faces and all.

I did want to try that mod, but there were a few bad looking monsters that put me off. I really like how he added the spider daedra from the other games in, those were actually scary in the older games

All in all, the good outweighs the bad imo. It is definitely all about quantity over quality though. Most of the creatures seem to just be stuffed into a werewolf position and tossed into the landscape on their ass. Ogres and Nekker critters occasionally running on four legs is a bit awkward to watch.

We’ll see if I can learn how to use the construction set. I might be able to zap all the low quality critters out of the mod. It is fun though and I would definitely recommend it if you are getting bored with killing armies of bears.

My mod list is most graphics mods. Followed the STEP guide a time ago. I can’t see the reason behind some of his choices, so I mostly grabbed those mods I thought was needed.
I want the world to feel more alive so I use SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and predators and Real Wildlife.
Though the latter one do for some reason remove the right half of Shalidor’s Maze.
Non-Essential Killable Children, so good being able to kill those irritating children. The fact that you can pickpocket them too made me choose that one over the other killable children mods.

Why is Skyrim still €50 on Steam? I could just order it from Amazon for half the price.

Also, I was amused by the achievements…
Only 87% of players have made it to level 5.

But even more strange is that 8% of players never got as far as getting released from their bonds at the start of the game. Did 8% of people just hate the game instantly?

Wow, only 8% of people completed the Thieves Guild quest line.

I know, ordered it for half that price earlier this spring.
If you mean the One with the Shadows achievement, I can understand it. Since it really vague that you have to do a lot of Thieves guild side quests.

How do you like that one? I’ve been considering getting it cause the author says it works fine with the monster mod, but there is no point for me getting right now because my new computer is on the way and I want to do a fresh install of everything.

It’s ok. I can’t give a full review since I use real wildlife too and have it load after SkyTEST. I did however use it alone before I got real wildlife. The animals acts like animals, you can see saber cats hunt down rabbits, elks, deers and eat them. Same with wolves and foxes.
All predators doesn’t attack you, there’s those who run from you, warn you and so forth. But the author have given the animal kind of stupid names like “Wolf Coward”(This one runs from you) and “Cave Bear Man Eater”(Scaled up huge Cave Bear, pictures below).

I’m one of those 8%, and I can see why. It’s easily the worst guild in the game. It doesn’t even require any actual sneaking, and beating the guild questline yields absolutely no reward whatsoever. It was more fun finding the guild then playing through it.

Hahahaha

So, apparently 1.6 and ENB mods don’t go well together

But i FINALLY found a way to fix the z-fighting bug, so mountains look beautiful again

:hmph:

I was amused at the persistence people still have with that joke.

Just FYI Dawnguard is out for PC but I’m sure everyone already knows that :stuck_out_tongue:

Gonna wait. Judging from other people playing, it is not long enough nor does it provide nearly enough new content to justify a 20$ purchase.

I’m tired of skyrim anyway, considering 90% of the questlines have absolutely no depth compared to the other games and on top of that are very badly written, it makes it very hard for me to find a reason to keep playing when I’ve already played for 100+ of hours

I love comments from people who say things like;

and I’m thinking, “you played a game you hate for 200 hours? Are you retarded?”
