That fucking mouse what
Alright, played it for a bit. Seem amazing so far and right now I feel a bit overwhelmed by it.
Tomorrow I shall sink my teeth into it in more depth.
I don’t get why reviews are saying melee combat is barely improved over oblivion? I think its awesome. The beginning was pretty cool too, way better than the other game intros.
but only problem is I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO WORK ON YET AHHHHHHHH
It’s six thirty November 10th, I hate you all.
Couldn’t play it now anyway.
The new art direction is amazing. I actually LIKE light armor in this game.
Also, heh, draugr ain’t too bright
How’s the UI? Been hearing some bad things about it.
You’ve been hearing right.
It’s tolerable for the majority of things (health/fatigue/magika, compass, skills and the world map, skill menu is actually pretty damn cool same as WM), but it’s still pretty frustrating at times (inventory layout is more annoying than it’s worth). I actually prefer oblivion’s inventory, and that was bad enough.
Thankfully, everything else in the game overshadows it so much that it is easily forgotten during gameplay as long as your using hotkeys.
TL;DR - the FIRST mod I will get is a decent inventory UI mod.
Nigga, play 20 minutes of Skyrim, then come back here and talk.
11:00pm. I’m pre-cumming.
And this will be most likely the last post i will be making in this thread for awhile now. I might post again but it will prolly just be rambling on how sweet the game is. So nothing will be new here. plus i don’t want spoilers or any other minor drawbacks to catch my eye in the game that people may have pointed out.
So kill some dragons motherfuckas.
It’s past midnight, but I’m at the bar so it’ll wait
The Steam store told me I could play at 12am eastern… so I was hoping to play it @ nine… Damnit Steam!!!
LIES! ALL LIES!
Decrypting Steam files now…
Gonna be an epic tease before bed.
:awesome: :awesome: :awesome:
Double Post – sorry:
Okay, what the fuck. It was working earlier, save some slowness and black dots on my screen.
So I leave the game to fix my graphics settings and I return to find it running smooth and fast, but the screen has twice as many dots.
So I leave again and realize that I need to fix my resolution. So I turn it to wide-screen.
Then I go in game again – but this time, it doesn’t even load the menu. It freezes at the dragon medallion.
And after restarting the game, Steam, my computer, and my city’s power, the game won’t get to the menu.
WTF
is anyone else having issues where the game crashes before you even get to the main menu??
Why can’t i just install from the disc? Surely that’s faster than downloading the game files from Steam.
for anyone who has the game crashing before the main menu, this fixes it, dont know why exactly but it does, (found off of yahoo answers)
hey i figured it out weird problem but this will sort it
Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
Select the output speakers being used and click Properties
Under the advanced tab, change the sample rate to 24 bit / 44100 Hz

It’s awful. I’m not prone to hyperbole, so believe me when I say it’s one of the worst I’ve seen.
Can’t wait to mod that shit out.
I’m loving the game so far though. They really tightened it up and made it immersive and much more believable this time around.
Skyrim is amazing. Enough said, the UI is annoying but i suppose that i’ll get used to it, only played about 30 minutes but I’m looking forward to each second of gameplay!
I dunno, I find the UI pretty easy to use. It’s more the inventory but as with any new game you’ll get used to it. It was much more streamlined than Oblivion at any rate. Very nice looking
Played for about 2 hours, till 2am. Really didn’t want to turn it off
