Meh, its hardly a good thing to make quests dynamic to the point they loose meaning, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do. Emotional investments requires some level of tight control, and the kind of dynamic quests they’ve talked about seem to lack that. We’ll have to see.
They lose meaning, they don’t loose meaning. Your mother is loose, not lose.
My god, a misspelling. Stop the presses.
I just hate when people say loose
Well, they said that at first they went over board making everything dynamic but pulled back a bit.
I doubt that any of the main quests (main quest, or factions) will have issues from being too randomized. Really it seems like more of a tool for fetch quest-esk things.
Yeah, the main quest’s path can be predicted since it’s more linear and important. but i think with the many randomized, action-triggered side quests all along the path of the main quest will still make the main quest even sort of randomized.
either way, i’m still going to fap all night to the game.
I wonder how the guide book will turn out
I hope that it includes a map with the disc like how Oblivion did and the shivering isles, i have them framed and mounted on the walls in my room and I would love to have a map of skyrim to do the same with!
With how Beth elaborates on all their “dynamic” stuff, it wouldn’t surprise me if dungeons and quest elements are simply leveled the same as loot and enemies. Say you ask Steve for a quest; depending on your level, the game will pick for the quest either Dungeon A, Dungeon B or Dungeon C. if in any case you have already started or completed a quest in any of those locations the game may offer Dungeon X, Dungeon Y or Dungeon Z and tweak/cap/set the leveled list of goodies and enemies for Steve’s quest.
There are only so many combinations of person, quest, item, location etc. so i can imagine that Beth has already set up a slot machine system to pull up each variable. in this case it’ll only be a matter of weeks before gamers figure out the system and set up quest trees on GameFAQs.
in this case the game guide will probably have a reference tree for each quest giving NPC in the game. “if you speak with Steve, he will ask you to visit one of these 10 locations on this list.” if it turns out Steve wants you to pillage ButtHole Cave, just turn to page 142 for a generalized guide and map.

The people that are achievement-crazy.
However, I know that if I get stuck somewhere in a game for more than a day, I usually just find guides on a fansite or youtube to help me.
Well of course.
Youtube comment: “2:36 GET DAT ORE” haha
but yeah, neat info. The more videos i watch, the more i wanna play it. it’s a tease.
hahaha i lol’ed
Haha, I’ve already played it for a bit. I hope I wasn’t the only one who almost jumped out of my chair startled by the sudden loud sound it makes when the game loads.
Yeah I startled too haha. The game is actually pretty good of you consider how little time Notch had to make it. Too bad I keep dying with the ghost parts. I can’t seem to kill him. Anyway kudos for the retro-graphics I really like it.
How do I open the door…rofl. I just know how to move and turn my head and I’ve basically pressed every button on the keyboard.
Nvm got it
to get rid of the ghosts you have to get them to follow you to the dumpster looking things and they get sucked into those. quite enjoyed the game
