Chess is pretty great, but beyond that, they aren’t may favorite to put it lightly.
see I would absolutely recommend Morrowind. Of all of Bethesda’s games I still feel Morrowind gives the best sense of immersion, story, and just overall is the most interesting. I never really had any issues with the combat system though i do like Oblivion’s method of dealing with spells, but thats about the only thing i can think of that i like better in oblivion. and don’t get me wrong, i loved oblivion, ive sunk hundreds upon hundreds of hours into both games and can safely say ive experienced about everything both games have to offer. I just feel that Morrowind has a certain sense of life and realization that oblivion never lived up to.
My suggestion, download a few mods for morrowind to update the graphics a bit (the vanilla textures and meshes are kinda rough) and play through it.
I’ve only played a small portion of Morrowind, but I have to say from what I’ve expirenced, Morrowind is good and has a certain feel and unique nostalgic touch to it, like Daggerfall, like Oblivion, and even like Arena. They are all neat and special in their own way.
Skyrim is promising to be just as unique to it’s own game as all it’s predecessors, and from the small bits of media and gameplay provided, you can already feel it’s own nostalgic flavor beginning to form.
