TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

hope coldage spells can work like so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS49Dazin3E

Read again it slows enemies down.

I think he meant making enemies slip, not slowing them down.

Yeah, those are alright. I’m more looking forward to dual wielding spells. That’ll be neato. Especially if they combo. Hope they go through with that one.

i know but that has almost zero slapstick potential

It’s okay nutsack, there will be a mod for that. :stuck_out_tongue: (Surplus knows what I’m talking about)

Pretty cool I like how the start isn’t beginning in a prison but you are still some form of convict though.

Bleh, I’d like a more Morrowindesque environment, but at the end of the day it’ll still be great fun to explore I suspect. Everything else isn’t of massive interest to me.

You know, all this news is great but none of them are gameplay footage! At seems as they are doing this deliberately.

It’s likely they’ll be saving gameplay for E3 :expressionless:

I like it when developers don’t show too much gameplay; while it’s nice, it ruins some of the surprises / puzzles; á la Portal 2.

When is E3? I hope not too far away?

I just stopped watching Portal 2 trailers and gameplay a while back. I know I’m going to love it, so why watch it?

That sounds awesome to me. It’s more realistic and it makes it so that when you finally do level up you can head in to those areas that you always knew were filled with high level enemies.

Quote for complete and total truth.

There is also no feeling so awesome as to climb down a hill or cross a river and suddenly realize you have just gone from predator to prey.

Its all down to personal preference. I don’t like getting raped by large animals every five feet when I traverse the lands of vidya, but if thats your thing, hey, to each his own.

Did you ever play pokemon, man? That shit was awesome.

If you didn’t harden up you were going to get pummelfucked by a Geodude.
Coming back and breaking his shit was the best feeling ever, bro.

Exactly, Pokemon was an awesome RPG and it had no scaling crap.

I don’t like pokemon for a reason. That reason is largely because the combats annoying, but the lack of exploration doesn’t help. Although if you do, then what? More pixelated grass and trees? There’s nothing interesting. In Skyrim there is a good reason to explore: You get awesome views and can enjoy the landscape. But as I said, to each his own.
