TES V announced at last - it's Skyrim!

Yeah, I’m pretty physicked for dynamic snow too. But if they fuck it up it could look REALLY bad. I wonder how deep it goes. Also I got the image of a fat argonian waddling around after reading you guy’s posts and I lol’d.

What game hasn’t been made better by obesity?

The Game of LIFE, seriously it’d be hard to fit those little guys in the car if they were any fatter.

On Topic, this is a cool little heavily edit version of the map shown in the vid https://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1717/skyrimmapls.png from dis thread https://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1158031-slyrim-map-discussion-2/

Have we got any land size info?

Definitely looking forward to this!! Morrowind was good, loved Oblivion (once it was modded right) although the main story was a bit average.

Wait, oblivion had a main stor…

Oh, hahahaha thats right isn’t it, I had completely forgotten about it.

Shivering Isles’ was okay.

i liked shivering isles main quests and story. Oblivions main quests were rather boring and the story was kind of lackluster.

i have high hopes for TES V though. dragons are cool, you can’t fuck up dragons, right? …right?

Agreed on all points, although, even if they do fuck up the main quest somehow, I really won’t care seeing as I’ll be off into the wilderness hunting mammoths with my bare hands five minutes into gametime.

Okay, alright alright. I’ll PROBABLY be off farming or mining or cooking like Earl, give me a fucking break.

shivering isles was fucking awesome and would have made an incredible standalone game. they should do that again, but longer.

^ I can agree with that.

I hope they don’t integrate you too much into the main story with the tutorial and stuff. One nice thing about oblivion was that you just left the prison and were still whoever you wanted to be. (although you were still in prison. :meh

This whole dragon born, dragon hunter chosen-one-raised-from-birth-to-vanquish-evil stuff has got me feeling a little tied to the main quest, and that is something that I don’t particularily like. Obviously it isn’t going to change the gameplay in the slightest, but for the role playing value of it all…

Same thing as you having to be a mail courier in fallout vegas, only more viking herolike.

I bring your attention to Dungeons and Dragons: The Movie :’(

:frowning:

I’m just wondering if I should try and be diplomatic about it, or if I should just walk in the front door and be all “what’s up guys?”

Now watch them do it really cheaply and just have a clone of the ground terrain that slowly rises and isn’t interactive.

:ninja:

1: The latter

2: I don’t even care, because it’s still awesome.

New GI thingus, mentions some minor details of the game but is mostly about Todd Howard.

However the mention of the fact that there will be a city in some Dwemer Ruins is quite win :awesome:

<3 Dwemer Ruins

YES DWEMER STUFF YES YES YES YES

I’m vaguely interested in this development BTW.

I too enjoy the Dwemer, their culture, and their architecture.

Perhaps we can get together sometime and compare notes?

Dwemer - FUCK YEAH
Dynamic Snow - FUCK YEAH
New engine - FUCK YEAH
Revamped Combat - FUCK YEAH
Weapon Crafting - FUCK YES GOOD LORD FUCK FUCK FUCK YES

Scaled Leveling - FUCK NO
Reduced skills - FUCK NO
FO3 Style perks - FUCK NO

BUT PS2 GAMES HAD SAND THAT CHANGED SHAPE WHEN YOU MOVED IN IT!

It would be cool if they at least did that with the snow in Skyrim.
