Tango & Cash - Half-Life ?

I just wonder if someone saw the movie Tango & Cash (1989, Kurt Russel, Silvester Stalone) and noticed some cool similarities betwen the movie and HL1 and Even HL2 ? Anyone ?

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098439/

Some screens … even the crowbar is the same …

And here comes more:

Tango and Cash sneaking through high voltage cables (usual for HL1)

And here after Fist fight Tango tosses One of the bad guys betwen those cables, which very much resembles what happened to the Gargantua In the end of the “Power Up” chapter of HL1

And here is The Boss of the bad guys and te main antagonist of the movie who of course wants Tango and Cash dead …

The Big Screens And the office of course are situated in a big warehouse… Not as high as the citadel … but matched in the security point of view

Of Curse Our guys storm the place with a badass ride with attached gun to it

And the main reason for that is to kill the Big Boss of course AND save Tango’s Sister (Terry Hatcher when she was young) which the bastard kidnapped to make Tango and Cash go to him …

The whole thing of course ends with demolition Of The Big Bad Boss Base and his death …
No Gunships And Alien teleport technology but still …

care to explain how??

lol. great post!

Well … take for instance Cash (Kurt Russel) smashing through concrete wall, crawling in sewers and then passing a big ventilation fan … (all that with the crowbar in hand) … You watched the movie anyway ? :expressionless:

Ohhh right!! its totally a cardboard cutout of Half Life in every possible way.

Durr!!

Who’s talkin’ about CUTOUTS ? I said similarities … And I suggest you actually watch the movie before posting in my thread …

Wow. That actually is kinda similar. Not really, but it is, but at the same time it’s not… I have no idea where I’m going here.

Crowbar and hazardous industrial environment basically. Aside from that, no.

It’s plausible that perhaps Valve got some inspiration from this movie. But the similarities are very small.

George is a faggot. Lighten up.
.

haha quality.

So you’re saying every guy who uses a crowbar as a weapon is copying half life?

Agreed. Just because a crowbar is different, doesn’t mean they’re copying Half Life. Still… Those pictures are TOO similar to Half Life. Creepy…

Christ … Guys seriously, do you even red why i’ve posted in the FIRST post of thread ? Looked at the IMDb link ? The movie came out 1989 (My mom was pregnant with me then probably) … How can it copy things from a video game which came out nearly 10 years after the movie ?! :expressionless:

My point Here, actually of the whole thread Is that the probably the developers
f the game are somehow inspired by some aspects of this other way … average late 80’s action film …

By the way … curious to know that Cash’s (Kurt Russel) personal weapon is a White Stainless Ruger GP101 .357 Magnum. ??

Oh, because the fact that he uses a gun (that looks completely different from the HL magnum) but shoots the same, extremely common round makes the connection between the two obvious.

And look, he is also not wearing a helmet, JUST LIKE HALF LIFE!!!

You wont believe, but he actually uses a folded stock shotgun to smahs some audio- radio equipment ! :freeman:

Oh noes, it’s not like the SPAS-12 is popular shotgun (especially in movies) or anything…

I said Folded stock shotgun  i didn’t say SPAS because its not … Anyway Cash’s Magnum is fitted with some kind of 80’s aimpoint/red dot … Also the magnum in the DM mode of HL1 has a red dot for secondary mode …

There is more evidence: the protagonist of both Half-Life and this movie… are men!

THE SIMILARITIES JUST KEEP PILING UP!!!

There’s also a guy in a suit! Like G-MAN! LIKE HALF LIFE!!! :fffuuu:
