tablets

What tablet do you have and would you recommend it?( I want to buy one, but don’t know shit about those things )

INTUOS INTUOS INTUOS INTUOS
4
that is if you can actually draw.
if you want to fuck around get bamboo fun or something

Depends on what you’re going to use it for.

For everyday usage/writing/control, a Bamboo or Intuos4 S or M would be just fine.
For drawing/painting in particular, Intuos4 L (or bigger) or a Cintiq.

All by Wacom, because everything else is pure shit

cintiq costs some serious money, but yeah nothing but wacom

alright, I want to use it to sculpt and maybe also draw a bit and it needs pressure sensity

EDIT: Wow, those Wacom tablet are expensive, but I guess the quality is pretty good then

What screen resolution do you have? If it’s rather small, an Intuos4 M would be fine (though I’d still go for the L) for sculpting and drawing.

my screen resolution is 1280x1024, so I should go for an Intous4 M?
and a tablet of the Bamboo series won’t do the job?

Bamboos are just way too small for the kind of precision you need when drawing/sculpting.

Additionally, they lack physical keys to bind certain application-specific tasks to: Bamboos have 3-4, Intuos4 has 9-10 + a click wheel for brush size/color palette/whatever you want.

A Bamboo will do the trick (provided you zoom in really close for precision-work), but the Intuos4 will simply offer you a lot more flexibility, comfort and faster work.

alright, thanks for the suggestions!
I guess I need to wait a bit until I can buy one.

Intuos4 M is what I’m suggesting. L had a lot of useless space in my experience.

I do everything with a Bamboo Fun. But that’s cause I just don’t give a serious dick about digital art.

I lol’d

^^ Welcome to the world of ‘selective & intelligent advertising’.

I use an Intuos 3; had it for several years and it’s never let me down with digital art or 3D work.

I have absolutely no problem with my 2009 Bamboo Fun Small. It’s a good size and works perfectly. I use it for digital art (neoplayer2.deviantart.com) and also it’s fun to play Half-Life 2 using it sometimes :stuck_out_tongue: .
I’d recommend it, it’s inexpensive and useful.

I just use a bamboo small (not fun). The size isn’t as big a deal as you would expect.

How about one of these? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823260002&cm_re=tablet--23-260-002--Product
I mean I’ve searched the web and it seems to get pretty good reviews everywhere. I mean it’s cheap and could just be used for fun and practice.

archos 9

or libretto w100

Anything Wacom. The Bamboo has pressure sensitivity and two buttons on the pen, it should do almost everything you want, and it’s definitely way cheaper than the Intuos. Get a Bamboo One from the Apple store or from eBay if you want to go ultra cheap.

alright, thanks!
I think I buy a Bamboo Fun Small and when I have enough money I switch over to the Intuos4 M.
and the iPad is totally unuseful, because it has no pressure sensity…
