Synergy/Multiplyer

Me, My Gf and her step dad are currenlty playing through the origional HL with sven co-op and loving it, with the advent of synergy for HL2 and onward is there any chance that his will aslo get included as id love to replay though with them at full graphics and run straight through 1 2 e1 and e2 all multiplayer :slight_smile:
obviously this will only be once its on steam ofc

Wrong, wrong, and wrong.

  1. Wrong forum, you need to post this in the Synergy Team’s forum here.
  2. Wrong info, many mods have been added to Synergy without them being hosted on steam.
  3. It’s just plain wrong, Synergy Development has been in hibernation for years now.

There server documentation is outdated making it impossible to run a dedicated Synergy server with Half-Life campaigns.
And the tool to run a Synergy server in Steam crashes as soon as you launch it. =/

Edit: Ninja’d

This is what I got when I asked about BM on Synergy forum:

https://synergymod.net/forums/topic/2233-black-mesa-source/page__p__14660__hl__+black++mesa__fromsearch__1#entry14660

So there is no official statement (at least what I’m aware of) about BM, however, I do recall a conversation with a dev where he said something like “I don’t see why not.” We’ll see soon enough.

If it is made, it should be it’s own game, not a extension to synergy. That would also allow it to possibly make more black mesa maps :smiley:

Coop already works, you just add some things to the listenserver.cfg in the BMS/CFG directory make it execute that on game launch , download a player model for everyone to use then start up a map and BAM…someone can then connect through the console to your server using hamachi or tunngle, its practically that easy with any half life game :smiley:

but of course, with random crashes every other map :frowning:

I made a blue shift topic to the half life series here, i suggested the name Guard…Duty… Lol they got the same idea!

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
