This one I agree with, it would basically be the equivalent of HL2’s gravity gun keybind.
Also I wouldn’t mind having a grenade button that lets you switch to the grenade, kinda like Crysis 2 does.
Though I suppose I could just alternately bind the weapon slot to G in the console to a similar effect, though switching wouldn’t be instant.
about the grenades:
bind “G” “use weapon_grenade”
I also use a crowber quickbutton
I have set it up for all Half_life games like that:
bind “MOUSE4” “use weapon_crowbar”
Is it possible to bind so it’s also being automatically used once the button is pressed?
You probably could using an alias.
Thanks for the command, but you need to do weapon_frag
EDIT: @Dotard
alias +tossnade “use weapon_frag;wait 20;+attack;”
alias -tossnade “-attack;wait 140;lastinv”
Bind G to “+tossnade” and pressing and holding G will take out a nade and cook it, releasing will throw and switch back
There are some minor issues though, like tapping G won’t work, it will just take out the nade and switch back, or pressing G when you have no grenades will fire your weapon instead.

Multi-core rendering isn’t an option unless they’ve gotten access to the 2009 SDK with Greenlight.
Add a new part of the Pizza Code Mystery in Xen.
We haven’t solved the current one yet!
maybe because the solution is on xen? it’s possible
Maybe the missing scientist (probably Dr. Horn) is the scientist in Nihilanth’s chambers.
May activate an achievement when finding that scientist.
Chris Horn is also the Xen Design Lead. I’m pretty sure that we can find things related to pizzas in Xen just like how he designed QE.
Nope. No new SDKs are given with Greenlight.
Now you mention it, just played EP2 mod “Black Snow” and it has multi-core rendering. It doesn’t even use any custom code.
On what basis do you make this claim? Was under the impression 2007 already had multicore enabled. BMS by proxy should also have it enabled.
It doesn’t though, as far as I know. At least there’s no way to enable it in the options menu, and I don’t think there’s another way.
I just hope it’s Free-to-Play once it gets Greenlight
it will be
It will always be free.
Mostly I would like the jumping mechanics to be made more consistent with Half Life 2. I know this has been covered in entire topics prior to this, but it seems ridiculous for pretty much every jump in the game to require crouch jumping.
I like crouch jumping. It is a fun way to make jumping to higher levels either easier, in that the bottom of the player’s collider doesn’t catch at all on the platform where it would with a normal jump, or indeed possible at all. However I don’t like having to crouch jump to get onto knee height platforms when I can fairly easily jump up to around chest height without crouching in Half Life 2.
Yes, I could probably fix this myself by changing some jump values in the console, but I’m exceptionally lazy and don’t really see why jumping has been made so awkward in the first place. Plus I don’t know if this would have an impact on the level design of some areas, perhaps allowing me to skip sections with superior jump height, so it might be beyond simple variable changes to make it work well…
Yeah, it’s not possible to revert to HL2 jump mechanics with console commands. We’ll have to hope for it to change in the next update
