Strange repetitive clicking sound.

For some reason, my computer is making this clicking noise, it would occasionally stop for 2-10 or so seconds, then makes the clicking sound again. I overclocked my graphics card a very small bit, and for some reason my computer keeps making this weird clicking noise. Any ideas?

[color=’#212121’]I FOUND THE SOURCE OF THE MYSTERIOUS TICKING. IT’S A PIPE BOMB!!!

Have you tried rebooting? Are your speakers plugged in all the way?

If you pop open the case and boot it up you should be able to see the poping noise is actually the circuit/mother board electrifying itself like frankenstine getting juiced up. Do it at night and let us know how kewl the electricity looks.

I turn my computer off every night, so that’s not the issue, plus it comes from inside the computer, not the speakers, but I’ll try replugging the speakers.

Knowing you, it’s most likely the sound of the mouse clicking.

Hit your hard drive. (no joke)
I would also suggest backing up your DATA ASAP. The most likely source of the sound is the HDD. (Assuming it’s not a SSD)
Also check for wires that could be flapping near your fans (CPU/GPU).

Hope it helps.

Knowing you, it’s probably the sound of the rusty and unused gears in your head that have never moved.

they’re coming

Try placing a wet quilt or two on top of your computer. That way, you won’t be able to hear it.

Oh, my mistake, I thought it was your speakers. Sorry.

The most likely candidates then are fans and your hdd, as mentioned above. Try running your computer without the case on to see if you can narrow it down.

It’s the voices in your head. They’re Ethiopian.

It’s probably your hard drive. All you need to do is put a large electromagnet underneath it and everything will be fine.

I’m not sure of the fix, but I’m pretty sure I know the cause.

your computer is crying, and heres why:

SoaringScout likes his nommy spaghetti-o’s!

and thats why the fridge is number one.:awesome:

what is that peculiar ticking noise?

A bomb? Did you purchase your computer from Al-Qaeda?

I’m interested,
Could you tell me what the fuck that is?

Don’t you already know?

stick a pen (or your finger) in each of the fans and then pull it out.
