Ok I have this weird problem with my computer whenever I shut it down I have to do the thing where it says to start windows normally and repair it or whatever but whenever I do that the computer just shuts off. But to get it to work I have to do a system restore and it only will keep doing the same thing if I shut it down. Anyone know what to do because this is driving me crazy :fffuuu:

OK. I’ll start with the easiest solutions first. Let me know if you have done this. Have you updated windows? (windows update) Have you updated your definitions on your virus scanner and done a virus check on the computer? Have you updated your malware scanner and done a malware check on your computer? A lot of strange computer problems can be traced to viruses and malware.
Remove some startup items.
Start. run. msconfig. startup.
Delete system32, rub a magnet on hard drive…
Do u shut off ur computer by pushing the button or using the start menu?

I’m guessing he holds the button for 5 seconds.
Sounds like the same issue my roommate has with her Toshiba laptop (Vista). She ended up having to send it back to get fixed. Still don’t know what’s wrong yet.
Just reinstall windows if you can.
