The way I see it, Unreal is to Quake as Marathon is to Doom. It’s like it used the succesful bits of the previous hit as a base, and then pumped it the fuck up with depth no one would ever expect from it.

Funny, I was actually trying Marathon about 2 weeks ago and after playing a couple of levels I immediately compared it to Unreal in my head.

I was more talking about the level design. I recently looked at it again and for several places I immediately noticed pretty terrible brushwork compared to the original game, and they blatantly copy pasted some areas several times over.

Opposing Force did that too. More than one area was lifted straight from HL1… So I guess what they say about it setting the standard for expansion packs is true.

Public Service Announcement: I just figured out that you get a Steam Summer Getaway trading card for every three votes you cast in the community choice sales. So if you’re into the cards, try to cast a vote in every community choice sale - they cycle every eight hours.

Actually, when I said copy-pasted, I meant as in they took part of the level you are in and copy-pasted the same area over and over in several different spots in the same level :retard:

I just bought Season Pass for Bioshock Infinite (those DLCs better be worth those 20 bucks), even though it wasn’t on sale, but I did get two summer sale cards! Does that count?

I have 3 from that THQ humble bundle and I’ve never played it either. Come to think of it, I also have Darksiders and Titan Quest and haven’t touched them either. Any of these games any good?

Well I just bought six games, only two of which I have played so far. I also have another six or ten on bcklog that I don’t know when I will get to them. Bleh…

Darksiders is pretty good. You might want to play it with a controller if the keyboard and mouse controls don’t suit you.

Titan Quest is good - if you get the expansion pack Immortal Throne it becomes much better.

I got Saint’s Row: The Third from the Humble THQ Bundle and haven’t really played it either :stuck_out_tongue:

Last day of the sale. I guess I’ll get the gta IV expansions and saints row III too. I have never played the other saints rows either, but meh.

Should I get dishonered, borderlands 2 and tomb raider for $30 or bioshock infinite? Actually never played bioshock before and never played borderlands.
