Steam problem

I don’t have Source SDK Source SDK Base ans Source SDK Base 2007 in my tools list, how can I get those in my steam account? :[

First of all, have you purchased a game from this list? Those games are bundled with Source SDK. If you have not purchased a game from that list, then you cannot access the tools. Source SDK is NOT distributed individually. If you HAVE purchased one of those games, but the tools do not appear, then the problem is beyond my understanding.

I’ve had on the list…and I haven’t purchased a game

You’ll have to clarify. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say.

You have to BUY one of those games that are bundled with the SDK Base 2007 (aka Orange Box).

Plain and simple. If you didn’t BUY one of those games, then you don’t have access to the tools you listed. If you want access to those tools, then BUY a game on the list. I’m being redundant, so hopefully you understand.

Edit*

Now that I think about it, it sounds as if you are saying you ONCE had them in your tools list, but they aren’t there anymore. I don’t know what to tell you, but if you haven’t purchased one of the listed games, I don’t know why you’d even have those tools in the first place.

You make no sense (mc)Fly. If you own any Valve Source game apart from Half-Life: Source you get all the tools including both of the SDK bases.

no I don’t have any game from that list but I had the tools on the list

Like I said, if you didn’tt have one of those games, then you should not have had the tools. I can’t tell you how to get them back when you (theoretically) weren’t supposed to have them in the first place.

I would like to help him, but i cant understand what he is saying…

Just type what you need to say in roman, someone can copy paste it to a translator to try and help you out.

EDIT: Unless you are already typing what you need to say already INTO a translator then copy pasting it over to here, and copy pasting our shit into the translator lol, then, sorry.

No, I understand what he is saying, but his grammar is horrible.

Is your Steam profile public? If we could take a look at your games list it could be easier to clarify for you.

I thought tools show up no matter what as not yet installed? 'Cause I remember my list is full of crap but I don’t own it.

The Source SDK tools are available as long as you have purchased at least one Valve-made Source game. (there are one or two exclusions) I don’t believe you need to have any of them installed at the time for them to show up.

The dedicated servers for all the games and steamworks mods show up in your tools tab whether you own the respective games or not. The SDK content only shows up if you own a Source game.

That’s why the list is always full of random stuff, but the SDK isn’t included unless you have a game that unlocks it  .

He stated that he hadn’t purchased any of those games, so he can’t have any of tools. I don’t know what the other exclusions are.

Maybe it’s possible to have access to those tools from having them installed on your PC from another account? I wouldn’t know, I haven’t tried it.

True, because the ONLY Valve game I dont have purchased is Day of Defeat Source, the dedicated shows up of course, but it does NOT show up in my SourceSDK, not ever.

Wow how ironic, maybe im having the same problem as him. I currently am missing Half-Life 2, and Counter-Strike Source in my 2006 Engine, though Half-Life 2 deathmatch DOES show up. It is not in the other engines.

steam download suspended who knows the reason?

Ask steam? It was their choice to suspend it. Could be numerous reasons.

Buy a Source-based game, ya nitwit!

I don’t get why he’s on this forum if he has no Source games…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
