Steam ID Cards

How often does it update your status? I tried changing my name and it didn’t show up after I refreshed.

EDIT: When you use the editor that doesn’t refresh the page (AJAX?), your steam postbit doesn’t load.

https://steamcommunity.com/id/dkytehkingdu

^Doesn’t work.

Edit: Yay it works! :stuck_out_tongue:

I got a custom url but it doesn’t work.

https://steamcommunity.com/id/theonlyone

I think it’s cool, but it messes up post formatting somewhat, hence why I’m probably not going to use it until everything is sorted out.
Hope you get that skin that we saw earlier fixed, hubi, it would be great!

Imonfire, “theonlyone”, without quotes goes into the the box

Hey thanks!

It fucks up the “quote:” text above quotes, I don’t wanna use it until that’s fixed.

Awesome!

Doesn’t really matter… as more games are supported within Steam, should they also have links to them? When do they become too much? Some arbitrary number of icons… and then they’d be taken out?

The problem is exacerbated when you consider these supported games are things only a subset of users have. You can add any Steam user to your friends list, that is true, but only a fraction of Steam users have useless inventories to view.

Nice. I second bringing back youtube tags, though.

I noticed that it doesn’t load your tag whenever you make a new post, you have to refresh the page. Only a minor complaint however, pretty awesome addition! And I agree with bringing back youtube vids.

Thank you all for the feedback. The new postbit skin is being worked on and a live beta may be launched by using the style chooser later tonight.

how to find your steamid64

go to your steam URL, then add ?xml=1 to the end.

find the tag that says SteamID64 and copy what is in it.

The advantage of this is that even if you change your ID url, your steam card will still work.

Sweet thanks!

This is for all the geniuses out there. Don’t play the leaked alpha if you show your steam ID on here. I’m going to laugh the first time i see it though.

Thanks!

Testing, testing.

Edit: Nice, it works.

I suggest that they be moved up into the grey box on the posts. I painstakingly made a mockup of it in ms paint.

there are currently admin tools in that spot. I will explore another way.

The default is 10 mins, unless Hubi changed it.

This module was orgignally made for a TF2-oriented forum, before being released publically.

@Hubi, I think there is a way to force the badges to reload, take a look at the example page that came with the scripts, and jsut add that code to teh bottom of the quick reply code.

Puh. Who needs admin tools?
Surely the admin buttons can’t take up that much room, move them accross a bit.
