Everybody got valve coupons. Looks like Valve is desperate 
When the prices go down, the sales go up. Way up. I think you’re confusing desperate with fiscally responsible.
I know that but Valve gave an awful lot of coupons for their games compared to others editors even tho most players do own nearly all valve games.
On the other hand that might mean that other publishers determined how many coupons were allowed to be given out. I’m sure Valve doesn’t mind discounting their games more than other publishers care about their games being discounted.
Here’s what I have up for grabs:
- A copy of HL2 (for some poor unfortunate who hasn’t been blessed with it’s grace)
- 25% Valve
- 50% Penny Arcade Adventures
- 50% Section 8: Prejudice
This is what I figured it was. Especially considering they even said a day before the event ended that they ran out of 3rd party coupons.
I used my 10% off 2K and bought “The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom”. I thought i should use atleast one of my coupons and I did choose the 2K one because it was the only on which wasn’t for a specific game and wasn’t Valve.
I gave away my Homefront coupon today, but I still have the rest that I’m not gonna use.

Nope. They ran out of other coupons so only Valve coupons were left at the end of the sales. One of Valve’s developers told that in the steam forums.
How could you run out of virtual coupons ? Those greedy mothafcka :meh:

I think the other companies just didn’t want to give any more. And hey, we should be actually happy that they are actually giving out some for free. They didn’t take us anything away, did they?
