Steam forums possibly hacked

Wait, whats a SPUF account?

Steampowered Users’ Forums, I’m assuming

If you have to change your passwords, at least have fun with it.

I don’t know if this is fake or not but when did the occurance of an inconvenience translate to: “We need to give the users something for free or they will abandon us!!”?

Also, this pretty much states that DOTA 2 won’t be F2P.

Hm… So the hack WAS more serious. Didn’t have a SPUF account, password- changed, Steam Guard - on, only worry - credit card. Don’t want to wind up having -500 $ balance one (un)lucky day.

I’d love to change my Steam password, but I can’t log into the Steam program, and when I go to steampowered.com and successfully log in there, I have no idea where I can change my password. It’s not in Account or Profile, so where the hell is it?

Welp the intrusion was worse than expected. Y’all should monitor your bank statements more closely as some of the members have said. We’ll see how well their database information was stored.

A bunch of money transfers to Nigerian princes, 20 pending transactions to xxl-viagra-cheep.nl… everything looks to be about right.

what kinda deal did you get for the viagra!?!? my old supplier stopped stealing my money :frowning:

rea$onbly pr1ced candian $$$ pharm 4 l0ng_dong is about $170 a bottle with no need for prescription. What’s better is that I’m guaranteed to l4st l0nger andd be exxxtra pleasurable.

So, y’know, win-win.

Sounds legit.

Valve are going to give away free games as an apology for the inconvenience? These guys are awesome.

Firstly its Valve is, VALVE IS.

Secondly, no that email is confirmed to be fake.

If you are going to correct people, don’t mix “its” with “it’s”.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
